Wrong, you need no permission and it's not 'your' defence, remember. You are not filing a defence, your wife is and she is emailing it to them after she has signed & dated it.I will be a LR then. I assume I will need to seek permission of the court when filing my defence so I will do that.
Not you.
Why not search the forum for Lay Representative court and read other people's experiences, saves us having to type out what you need to take with you on the day to prove your right.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right, got it, thanks. Yes I have lots of threads filed in a folder of bookmarks for court experiences etc. I will worm up on that stuff, thanks.Combatting the pandemic of BWLegal-19, one 'notice of discontinuance' at a time. :-)0 -
the defendant should be able to use their existing login to do the AOS
by "another one" if you mean court claim, all need the AOS doing and all need to try to be consolidated as its an abuse of process to keep starting new ones
I would get the defendant to email a SAR to the ppc claimant and get details of everything they hold , including every pcn, just in case0 -
I have read a few times the advice of "do not write anything in defence box". I just did the AOS and I didn't see a single box where I could have entered any defence text. Has it changed, pretty sure I did it all correctly!Combatting the pandemic of BWLegal-19, one 'notice of discontinuance' at a time. :-)0

I have 5 days to submit my defence. Been crazy busy with work and stopped now to get this done. Feeling very overwhelmed. I have taken lots of notes over the many weeks I have spent on here, but now a bit lost in how to just get going with writing a defence. I have looked for relevant threads, but I am not sure whether I should look for BWL defences, or ANPR defences, or POFA defences, or.....
If anyone knows of a defence which would fit well here (as a skeleton/template, not to copy of course), I would be grateful if you could drop a link.

PS - I am also wondering whether I should prepare a defence to defend as driver, in case the judge asks/demands to know who the driver was. I know he shouldn't, and if he does, i will fight him/her on it, but perhaps i should have something ready in case it changes to that direction during the hearing?Combatting the pandemic of BWLegal-19, one 'notice of discontinuance' at a time. :-)0

The judge is highly unlikely to ask who was driving. They will understand your defence and you do not have to incriminate yourself.
They aren't there to do the ppcs job for them.0 -
Thanks. I am sure some people mentioned that it has happened before. Unlikely maybe, but I want to cover all bases. I think, in the unlikely event that he/she does ask, I will refuse to answer on that very basis (self-incrimination, or knowing me, probably more like "With the greatest respect, this claim is against the RK, as confirmed in writing from the claimant, unless you are taking over their legal strategy Sir?"
)
(P.S. ...." in which case I must request a continuance in order that the driver is able to prepare a defence AS the driver"Combatting the pandemic of BWLegal-19, one 'notice of discontinuance' at a time. :-)0 -
You need to include abuse of process if it applies. I will bet they've tagged on an extra £60 out of nowhere for supposed debt collectors fees? It's in the Newbies thread what to put.0

Yep, thanks, it's still growing.

The very LAST thing I will forget to include is Coupon-Sane's superb wording in that regard
