Thanks, is it OK to provide them with a different address (friends) whilst I'm away, so they can keep me updated?0 -
But you don't need it if you told them you are seeking DEBT ADVICE.
Not just 'advice' I hope.
''Seeking DEBT advice'' forces them to give you yet another 30 days and the claim won't be filed until the end of June at the earliest, likely early July.
If that's not good enough, yes, you can give a different address for service for the Summer.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for clarifying.
Yes, sorry the previous post wasn't clear, but in the email I clearly stated that I am seeking debt advice.
Would you recommend getting into any form of discussion with them regarding the unclear signage or wait for the claim to be filed?0 -
I wouldn't bother, let them dig their own hole you can push them into at a hearing!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just got a reply back to my email sent on 29th May, stating that the file has been placed on hold for 14 days (19th June)
Do they legally have to give 30 days?
Thanks0 -

Look up the PAP for debt claims! Quote it at them if you used the words DEBT ADVICE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for pointing that out - do you think I should contact them directly to point that out, or should I stay quiet and allow them to start court proceedings going against PAP?0

Hmmm...either way is good. What do you prefer, a quicker claim to defend in June/July, or a claim arriving in July after a 30 day gap?

Thanks, I think a quicker claim to defend in June/July would work better as getting married early August, so hopefully will have it sorted by then.
I won't bother contacting them - appreciate your help with this.0
