Enormous (((hugs))) to Jojo, Kazwookie, mrs-mp and everyone else who's finding things difficult atm.
Welcome to the newest newbies and returners.
Sorry I've been MIA this week. There hasn't actually been much action here, as I felt rotten on Thursday and Friday with some sort of infection which left me totally washed out yesterday afternoon - fortunately it seems to be clearing up of its own accord, as the GP surgery was shut today and won't re-open until Tuesday. This afternoon I even managed to stay out in the garden after taking Rosie for her walk and sow a few radishes, instead of coming straight into the house, collapsing into a chair and not moving for an hour. In the meantime DH has gone down with another chest infection which appears to be getting worse, so I am steeling myself for another trip to the horse piddle tomorrow - or possibly even tonight, if his temperature keeps going up. He ate a very small amount of curry for tea but it was hardly hot enough to cause a fever
This house needs a good clean - the last time it got dusted and hoovered properly was Easter MondayHey-ho - it might get done on Bank Holiday Monday, or there again it might not. It all depends.

Morning
So much for keeping up with the dailiesReturned to work on Monday - and two colleagues had told me they'd handed in their notice before I reached my desk  Relocated all my stuff in to my new office - set up all my own I.T. (and it didn't blow up when I switched it on :T) and had a busy week - coming home shattered and flopping in the chair. Had the office to myself - and LOVED it. Colleague moves in with me on Tuesday - she's asked me to sort her I.T. for her
So we'll see how sharing goes - but she's leaving so it won't be for long.
No-one has mentioned the 'problem' from the other week - but I have been asked to pilot 'going paperless' as I'm the most senior and trusted Admin at my level!!!! (Or they want a fall-guy if it doesn't work! Paranoid? Me? Whyever would I think that?) Management expected more of a reaction from me apparently (I just said 'ok') - perhaps they don't yet realise that I just don't care any more. It pays the bills. It pays the bills.
DS and GF flew to Menorca yesterday. I went with DS's dad to take them to the airport so I know where to go when I pick them up next Saturday night. We went one way, came home another - and I'm planning on going a different route entirely :rotfl: My only concern was the airport 'bit'. (Parking is one of my 'things') Didn't really help as we dropped them off in the Express Drop Off. I'm assuming you can't pick up in the same place? The clue would seem to be in the name :rotfl: I have absolutely zero experience of airports - my anxiety is spiralling already. Need to do some serious G00gling. Anyone here familiar with picking up passengers returning to Doncaster/ Sheffield airport?
Right... flying... the other sort. I did nothing yesterday either - too much adrenaline / slump / adrenaline / slump going on
Not helped by the copious amounts of chocolate I used as fuel.
So.. three wheels on my wagon, but I'm still rolling along and flying will be attempted today. Well, fluttering/ flapping / bimbling - whatever I can manage.
Rambling - procrastination - must overcome inertia and b-e-g-i-n : cuppa tea first and breakfast.
I'll be back when I'm dressed

Morning all.
Round, DH says that airport is the easiest to pick up from but I don't have further info.
Ionafan, hope all is well with mr Iona.
My list today is pretty much the same as yesterday. DH tells me he's handing in his notice today, eek!
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Thank you Jazee xx That's good to hear - about the airport I mean. As for the eek! Mr Jazee doesn't work with me does he??? It's an epidemic at our place!
I'm washed and dressed; bed is made; towels and tea towels are swishing in WM; Mount Washmore has been sorted in to loads; rubbish and recycling are out; empty bin bags are fitted; birds are fed; bowl of pots is soaking; changed the towels in the bathroom.
Someone has a well aimed fluffy muleThank you

Good morning all, not quite sure where this week has gone and I've missed all of your adventures. I've just spent a lovely half hour catching up with a cuppa (Pickle is glued to the tele box)
Welcome to some new fliers - you have all been more productive than I. So many challenges in this little group. I am inspired by your strength and determination.
I had one of my 'major list days' on Thursday. I got everything on the list done , but it wasn't quite as epic as previous lists.
We have started toilet training with the Pickle. We're on day 3 and he's just done his first, unprompted wee on the potty. This is HUGE progress. Praying he keeps it up. Sticker charts are up and running potty in front of the tv, and a clear diary for the bh weekend.
2x wm done and out on line.
Dw is running too and I've started the shopping list.
I need to meal plan, then finish the shopping list. We may do shopping as our little 'out of the house' trip today - between wees.
The house is still in uproar. The fireplace fitter finally came on Thursday night, but the promised quote is yet to arrive, I'll give him a nudge tomorrow (I know it's bank holiday - but I need some progress) part of Thursday's list was another tip run. So more stuff has left the house. The box of books DVDs etc has tipped into the 'we'll collect by courier' version, so that's happening on Tuesday - which is, as usual, my work day.
Today I will potter around - between reminding small to use the facilities and doing the cleaning up after the inevitable accidents.
Have a good Sunday everyone.

Well done Pickle :T:T
Well done Round for sticking it out :T:T
Thanks Jazee for asking about MrI - he is feeling much better this morning, and I actually got a decent night's sleep because he slept in the guest room downstairs (his legs wouldn't have carried him upstairs last night). Stupid man has been sitting with the French windows open all morning to allow Rosie to go in and out as she pleases - a lovely thought, but it is not really very warm outside and I wouldn't be surprised if he has given himself another chill
I have been to church and come back with all sorts of extra jobs for the next fortnight, ranging from collecting door to door with the big red tin to making cakes (and possibly also more marmalade) for the summer fayre.
We are about to have our main meal, then I shall take Rosie for a good walk and be back ready to go out at 3.15 to an Inter-Faith Peace Symposium at one of our local mosques - should be some interesting conversations.
Flying today has consisted of WMx2 and planting more seeds0
