Jazee - well done!
and as for me - SOOOOO glad it's Friday AND a long weekend because I'm away from the paid stuff until Wednesday noon! WOOTY WOOTY WOOT WOOTDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I was laughing at your strikethrough thoughts! I think I have done that form myself, a few times! Screenshots are the way to go for sure.
I read some stats once on how men are very much more likely to apply for jobs they don't fully fit the criteria for, so do plough on if you can bear it.
You've been having such a bad time recently, and you're back at work very quickly, no wonder it's such hard going. Is there any way you can doss off a bit... Don't know what you do, but most jobs have an easy option for the person who is under par for a while.
Chin up (or chins up in my case!).A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Morning all
Lazy start to the day here as OH is away and both DD1 and I don't start until after lunch so we enjoyed a lie in and gentle start to the day.
DD1 came and did the shopping with me last night, to be fair it meant she got to choose what there is for her to eat this weekend as OH and I are off to other house to see DD2, walk on the beach and cut the grass.
Well done Jazee and hope you get the result you want Honey Bear. I get so frustrated by the low turnouts. Having lost the right to vote, but very affected by the consequences, then jumped through administrative hoops in all directions to get it again I now feel that voting should be compulsory like in Belgium or Australia. Getting off my soap box now.
Fayolle hope you get your holiday booked soon, don't forget schools here break up early July (end of June in reality)
New student starting this afternoon so need to prepare for that.
Better get on with a bit of flying this morning.0 -
Don't really know where the morning has gone
Machine walk done
I've hoovered the whole house, including pulling out furniture that I can manage, then emptied the bagless thingy.
Kitchen also done
Freezer sorted out

Now ex step mother has gone ahead and scattered half of my father's ashes without letting the family know, we can collect the other half and do the same to say I am angry is the least of the matter, I don't know if I am more annoyed she went ahead with out letting any one know, or the fact she only scattered half, which I find very disrespectful..........
Off to make some phone calls, and a possible long drive tomorrow

Hello again.
I have done one work shift, hoovered through, washed up, made phone call, walked dogs, got one washload on airer, s&sd the downstairs toilet and the bathroom, cleaned the bathroom window, sorted out toiletries in my bedroom and watched some more tour de Yorkshire.
Will s&s in kitchen next.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Huge congratulations Jazee, and really well done. Winning takes effort as my party knows; I gave 169 people the opportunity to vote for it, which is the best we've done in that ward ever. Overall we did much better than we have for the past (nearly) decade, so we're chuffed to bits. Things are on the move, I think. Mademoiselle, I totally get your frustration. I'd support mandatory voting on the proviso that all MPs without a sicknote also have to vote on every single vote in the House of Commons, and the Lords in the Lords. While they don't turn up, which they're paid to do, they haven't a leg to stand on when talking about voter apathy.
Bathroom has had more attention and now looks passable. Huge piles of laundry are being folded and put away because I need the space for bedding.
Layla pee'd on our bed last night, and not an accidental little leak or a spray. I found it just before I went to The Count, so had to strip the thing, find clean bedlinen, remake the dry part of it, and then when I got home, sleep on the soggy side on top of a pile of padding (towels which now need a wash as well). I was horrified by the idea that she was so unhappy that she felt the need to do that, and then this morning realised she had something in her foot and was in pain. Rushed to the vet to have what OH thought was a piece of glass removed, the vet first thought was a tumour () and then realised was ... a lozenge, firmly embedded between her pads, stuck firmly with thick spaniel fur. Panic over, WM doing overtime, and she's conked out completely, peacefully, at last.
OH and I are both exhausted so the rest of the day will be checking a box of novels I might never want to read, to CS them, and another copy of the weekly newspaper he bought me a subscription to and which I'm now only four behind!Better is good enough.0 -
Garage now sorted and floor (blimey there is a floor in there) swept!!
Rubbish in bin OH even can and helped sort some of his stuff into the bin!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Apart from WM and Rudiments of Kitchen I've done nothing much from the list. Friday is not a good day for me, so I might just bounce Friday to the weekend on a regular basis. It's helped being on here, thank you all.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
