    Hello ladies!

I'm trying to sneak back in after an unauthorised leave of absence...can I come back please?

So much has happened in the months I've been AWOL and I'm sure I've missed loads of news from everyone. I'm at my BFriend's wedding this weekend as her Matron of Honour, so I wont be joining in with much this week but next week is a different matter. My house is a pit. My garden is a junk yard. My MH is tattered and torn, but life must go on.

Honey Bear, I expect Rosie would love to adopt another squeaky toy - thank you for thinking of her :) Mind you, I'm not sure that she deserves a treat: she has been a little **** today about having her de-flea treatment, running away from me as soon as she realised that I had the drops in my hand, and has also refused point blank to eat the cheese and ham which she loves because she has worked out that they contain her worming tablets. Her sense of smell is definitely better than mine! However, she did quite enjoy spending part of the day at a dog-friendly almost-ruined castle, and eating a slice of my wild boar sausage-in-a-stew - if I'd known that was on the menu I would have taken her tablets with me and hidden them in the sausage :rotfl:

As a result of going out for six hours I have done very little at home. However, I did pot up individually (in recycled yogurt pots) 18 leftover cabbage seedlings which, together with a magazine with some rhubarb recipes, I took round to a friend for her allotment. I *will* eventually reclaim my utility area which has disappeared under a pile of flowerpots! Oh yes, and I put away the decorated eggs off my Easter tree, as the leaves were dropping off the branches, and I threw away some tulips which had lasted well over a week and given me much pleasure, so downstairs looks tidier if not much cleaner.

Otherwise I haven't achieved much except to decide not to pay out a load of money on something that can be achieved by another method, at less cost :money: and with far less effort. It would have brought me joy, but I simply can't justify the spend.

Mrs-mp, I hope you sleep better tonight. More (((hugs))) coming your way.

Jazee, when can we see you on TV?

Way-hay!!!! welcome back Dizzy :j I was only thinking of you yesterday, as the view from our little hill was clear enough to see the big hills over on the Welsh border. Are you overrun with boarders?

    Morning all.

Ionafan, hopefully I'll be on tv later in the year. I'll let you know!

Voting day today, lots of friends have said they'll vote for me. DH is also doing a fundraiser as it's tour de Yorkshire round here today. Definitely all still going on here.

Work first and I must do some flying later.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Morning all,

Yesterday was a public holiday here for us so a lovely lazy day was had here. OH cut grass in the morning whilst I tidied round, then went for late lunch in the garden with good friends.

Tuesday I did manage to get quite a lot done. Paperwork tray sorted and up to date. Desk tidied and cleaned. Sewing stuff all put away. Lasagna made.

DD1 had a big tidy up in her room yesterday so I now have a mountain of washing to do today. But I have got off to a good start as OH was out early this morning so I got 1st load in WM. Only working for 2 hours this morning.

    See you all later

I’m behind in everything - home, work, life in general.
Yesterday evening I stripped and remade our bed so the wm has just finished washing that load. I can’t decide about the weather so it’s hanging indoors which I might curse later when it turns out warm and sunny. Ironing pile cleared this morning and I’m about to run the vacuum around the bedroom before work.
The ceiling needs another coat of paint which is a pain, but then at some point I have to go to Mr M - DSiL and the whole family are now coming on Monday. Bang goes my bank holiday gardening day. Oh well.
    Good luck today Jazee.
Lovely to see you back Dizzy :j
    Have a lovely day all.

Lurked on this thread for a while but may be time to join in!

Last night I hoovered all the stairs and landings (a 3 storey house so quite a job). Planning on changing all beds over the long weekend ahead. Hubby scrubbed the bath earlier in the week. Need to wipe all the bathroom floors tonight. Toilets cleaned regularly due to having 2 children who often forget to flush!:mad:

Been to work and it took much longer than planned.
WM has been on twice so far and about to go on again.
Proofread new brochures for boss, not correct so I guess there'll be more to check later.
Insurance assesment booked for next week, by video conference (could be interesting as it's roof damage)
Off to reload WM and then do the ironing and putting away.

:rotfl: This has been the biggest shock about having a partner with kids - having to regularly flush the toilet after them :rotfl:
