  • Got a text at stupid o'clock that Himself was tired, so was going to stay at a band member's flat.

    I haven't replied.

Currently drinking tea, but have to degunk the insides of the extractor thing, change the filter and have a look for a replacement bulb in the Red Shop round the corner. Could do with dusting the living room as well.

  • Extractor thingy degunged. Yuk.

Don't fancy climbing up on a chair to try and get the filters down, so that can wait until everything dries.

    Time for coffee.

Left hand front of baby cardi knitted up to neckline reduction area.
My bed stripped and [STRIKE]forgotten about until I started typing what I have done [/STRIKE]left to air.
    Car washed
Inside of car sort of polished.
Under bonnet investigated. Dip stick found and checked - fine, screen wash checked and also fine.
    Rabbit hutch cleaned.
    Yard swept
Weeds at front sprayed - cannot do spraying in back garden due to bunny having free rein.
Been for petrol and tyre check. Front offside way too low. Must keep an eye on that.

A mixed week productivity wise, for no particular reason.
Started to regain normal i.e. not pig-like eating this week as all birthday edibles and Easter eggs consumed. Went well until we visited friends in Suffolk yesterday for a birthday party, cue lots of party food followed by a late night and cooked breakfast. Then on to finally visit friend who is having ovarian cancer op on Wed, cue coffee and cake at garden centre.
Just got home and immediately checked gym bookings for this week. Having just paid balance for holiday with mum in Aug I need to get slinking!
Care home closed for visiting since last Thurs owing to d&v outbreak so we've had a bit of respite and enjoyed our 36hrs away. At least MIL has been in one place for 8 days for the 1st time in ages.

Bit of a snooze in conservatory then check greenhouse and maybe even do a bit of a report.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Thank you all for the support with #operationpotty.
Mixed results: 2 'spontaneous ' potty performances
2 accidents - one was more than just wet
Return to regular reminders and 'potty time'
Day three done - not sure we are getting anywhere.

Anyway. Now for Line of duty.

See you on the new Fred.

    Wish!

    Hoping Mr Ionafan is well.
Sorry about the accidents Wishing TMA. I've been carpet scrubbing because Layla has decided that she needs to pee on the carpet near the back door in the evenings three days running. At least it's not the bed and yes, we do a walk at 6.00 pm and go around the garden at 9.00 pm so something's not quite right with her. These problems will be resolved at some point but they are frustrating while they're ongoing.

Hoicked all of Kelpie's raw turkey mince out of the freezer to cook for Layla; tomorrow will be another dog food marathon cooking day. I'll be really glad when she's on proper dog food at last.

A lot of tidying up, even more laundry folding and putting away and I think we're almost straight. I've still got some sorting out to do in my office but I'm almost at the point of being able to get my much loved books down from the attic after 15 years of not having enough space for them. At last. I'm hoping that's going to be this week. Looking forward to seeing them every day again. They have been missed.
    Better is good enough.
