    Still loaded with cold today but I have hospital appointments that I have to attend so I need to get moving :(

    Going to pick up some fresh fruit and veg today as that's all we need so will be a LSD & was going to make a sweet potato & spinach curry in the SC too. I'm enjoying going to the shops less and only getting what I need as I realise now it's such a waste of time and money.

    Next week I will be able to fill my pots up and sort out the money for June. Please I'm finishing the month with some cash still although I need to get my weekly budget sorted as I'm not good at allocating my cash for spends for me.

    I'm really pleased as I have bought a few bits online and started using top cash back again. Have £40 tracking so far :j

    £2.35 added to the 1p a day jar 79/365 days & £40.87 in total :o

    Another £2 added to the £2 savers jar - we have had this tin for years and never emptied it so no idea how much is in there as it's one of them £1 shop sealed tins but very heavy and about 3/4 full.

    Shopping for fresh stuff came to £20.32 for fresh fruit and veg. More than I wanted to spend but had to get calpol and another medicine as littlest is still poorly :(

    I'm still not feeling great but hoping I can shake it off soon. Last day of work being done tomorrow! I'm so excited! I have some furniture being delivered over the weekend and it should all be finished soon.

    Small steps still - hoping to make some decisions when funds hit the account next week.

    Account update

    * Store Card £245 - Gone
    * Purchase £583.24 - £499.92
    * Loan £1696.34 - £1580.62
    * CC £2264.93 - £2214.93
    * OD £500 - Same

    Total = £5289.51 - New Total = £4795.47

    It's getting there hoping to pay at least £200 off something in the next week :D

    Today plans are a bit different than expected. Tyre on the car was flat so has to put the spare on. Will need another tyre today as it has a nail in it - they may be able to repair it but not so sure.

    So on that note I need to:

    * go to the car garage
    * Take something back to shop for a refund
    * Pick up new item from a different shop

    Should be able to manage it all in a morning so hopefully home and able to relax and potter in the house this afternoon. My cold is still kicking about but doesn't feel as bad today.

    Accounts are all fine but there is no wiggle room for anything at the moment :o I have some cash that I'm going to use for dinner money and window cleaner so will see if there is any left for my 1p a day pot.

    Will check in later with an update!

    Hi Tink :) Just catching up with you. Hope you and little one are feeling better and that the hospital appointments went well.

    Boo to the flat tyre - there's always something isn't there. Did they manage to repair it or did you need a new one? Great that you've dropped under the £5k mark and are also hoping to pay £200 off something this month.

    Are you all back to normal now in the house. I think you deserve a medal having all that work done during half term :eek::T

    Have a nice evening. xx

    Hi Tea!

    Yes house is thankfully back to normal, so happy the work is done but it's totally worn us all out.

    Me and DS finally got over the cold we had but he has been off school 2 days with S&D! Seems to only be a 24 hour thing and should be back to school tomorrow but he just seems to catch everything.

    Our spends went up last week as bought some new bits for the house but we have everything now. Will have a vet bill at the end of the month to pay and I need to get DD some shoes & DS an outfit for a wedding we are going to.

    The tyre managed to be repaired :T I Was so pleased. Was told because I had changed it to the spare and not drove on it they could remove the nail and fix it as it was in the bottom of the tyre so that saved some money.

    I've paid my first £100 into the EF - I had only budgeted £50 and was just seeing if I could save another £50 through the month and I managed it. I feel really proud of that! So £100 EF for June and I already have £8.13 towards my next £50 needed for July ;)

    I'm starting to think about uniform for the kids going back to school as it's such and expense but I try to save up a bit each month for it. Will try and get PE kits when the SM start the uniform deals as it's best to get the kids sizes in early before the stock goes. I also get DS some none branded jumpers as he looses so many I only get him 1 with a logo on it.

    Can't believe it's June already :eek:

    Going to try and keep this as hoping for a short family holiday in October .. seen a nice lodge for 5 days in a Forrest a few hours away. Thought it would be a nice break and it has a hot tub too :D

    Thinking the £2 we have been saving for ages could go towards that too :j

    Tink that sounds just the thing to set you all up for the winter, I hope that it will work out for you.

    Yeah Maddie I was thinking it would be a nice few days away. Im worries as I will have to take the kids out of school if I do a week and will probably get fined so that's a cost to think about. A long weekend costs the Same but kids would only be off school for 2 days.

    Going to try and sort the accounts out later and have a shuffle as have a lot to pay at the end of the month so need to make sure I have things put aside :(

    Nothing exciting happening today, having a chicken dinner today with LO for lunches tomorrow. Have a 'sort of' meal plan but nothing set out properly, going to do some food prep and make a big salad then we can just add bits for the next few days.

    Chicken dinners sounds yummy. Just OH and me in this household, so sometimes a chicken seems to linger on a bit, also we are retired and sometimes I cannot face eating rubber chicken again having done it for 50 years:rotfl: Spag bol, or bolognaise bake for us today.

    I do a meal plan every week/10 days, going through fridge/freezer/cupboards, but do not allocate days to it, except when stuff needs using quickly. That way I can juggle it around to take account of my energy levels. It drives OH mad when I change things around, but since, although he does the veg and cooks it each day, he will not take over the choosing, cooking etc, he just has to put up with it:D

    Sunny here after 2 days rain, need to get a shift on and play in the garden, the weeds will be like triffids now and very wet, but needs must.

    Have a good day.
