Advice on here about OD is that they can be pulled at any time so that maybe one to consider especially as it's costing you moneyMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I know the OD is such a hard one tho, I think I'd have to save it up and pay it as a one lump sum then close it as I think little amounts will get swallowed up easily.

Hi Tink
Well done on clearing the store card :T I bet that feels like a real achievement doesn't it. And get you, upping the EF as well, you're on a roll :j
No advice on what to do next but I tend to go for the low hanging fruit where possible so I'd be looking to clear the purchase and possibly saving for the OD to be cleared. But that's just me and it's definitely a psychological thing, I'm sure most people on here would do it differently.
Whatever you decide though, keep at it, you're doing great. xx0 -
Thanks tea! I think the temptation is too much with the OD to spend it again? Still quite tired as barley slept last night. Will start my plans tomorrow!

Afternoon! I have had quite a chill out day and I totally needed it, I have had such a busy few days and I was poorly over the weekend so still not bounced back from that.
House stuff is coming along nicely and hopefully should be finished by next week - I'm sick of there being stuff everywhere and just want everything finished and done now.
I need to find the energy to cook this week as the freezers are empty too. Did a small shop today of things we were desperate for but will order an online shop to come for the end of the week. Must meal plan too for the half term holidays as the kids just eat me out of house and home otherwise.
Not much gone in the 1p a day money box after holiday, but I'm squirrelling away some change in the bank account to put towards the extra for the EF. I have joined a new survey site too so hopefully will get some pennies from there to help too.

Still not much going on at the moment. Me and DH have loads of house stuff going on so I'm busy busy busy! I have made a curry tho and have 2 loads of washing on the line
Kids have broke up from school for half term so I'm trying to do my meal plan and order an online shop to see us through next week. It's just so hard to fill them when they are off school, especially as I am going to have workmen etc here so will be in most of the time. I have some indoor activities planned and the garden is mostly sorted now so they should be ok.
The weather has been beautiful but it's supposed to go down hill from here but I'm still hoping for a BBQ one day as I have all the stuff in the freezer so would be a cheap nice lunch.
I have £26.56 put aside so far for next months EF payment, I want to make it to £100 a month rather than £50 so over half way for the extra payment. I'm hoping to pay £200 off a debt at the end of the month too but will have to see what the balance is once all the work has finished in the house

Well still going slow over here! Most of the work in the house in finished but I'm going to get the guy back who did the floor as I'm not 100% happy with it. Some bits are off and the finished trim is not neat.
Managed to put 45p in my 1p a day box and £11.07 in my savings pot for June's additional payment. This takes it up to £40.07 so really close to the £50 I wanted.
Bills are paid and did a huge shop at Aldi yesterday so I have restocked the kitchen and have a meal plan and food ready to go.
Half term here and the kids are at a sleep over tonight. Me and DH are going to watch a film and have a chill out night!

Hi Tink, hope you and hubby enjoyed your kid free night
I can't even bear the thought of decorators coming in at the moment let alone having 'proper' work done that causes mess.
Hope you manage to get out and about for some part of the week with the children. Have a good week. xx0 -
Well I'm full of cold and so is the littlest child
not a great start to half term but we are still plodding on.
The kids have been ok but started to climb the walls a bit today. It's raining and we have been in with the decorator, floor people coming tomorrow and I'm hoping we are done by Friday (fingers crossed) we have some small stuff that still need done but nothing too big :T
I did a big shop at Ald! at the weekend so the cupboards are stocked back up. I have done some cooking but not much. Think next week when the kids are back to school and I have my house back to normal I will get working on some batch cooking. Shopping budget is doing ok after my big shop. Looking at £50 a week to last until payday so this should be fine
Minimums have been paid. I'm looking to up the EF payment to £100 from £50 so I have been saving the odd bits out of my current account for next month and I have £40.84 so far. I should be able to make my £100 and will do the same again and try to keep building it up this way.
My 1p a day is still a bit behind - added £2 today tho. I have made 76/365 payments and have £40.52 but really need to keep adding to this, it's hard as I don't use a lot of cash so don't have a lot of change.
Seems like not much going on at the moment so a bit of a boring update

Thanks tea it was a nice cheapie night in. We try and do something even if we don't go out.
Kids went to see Aladdin with my SIL yesterday so that broke things up for them. I was stuck trying to keep the madness in the house going. I think we will be taking a long break from house decorating after this as it's dragged out much longer than I wanted it to
