    Morning :D

    Today is a bit of a relaxing day again, still have washing to sort out and I'm waiting for the accounts to update.

    DS has had football this morning and I want to sort out the calendar and rest of the month now we are back home. Going to try and meal plan but need to go to the shops and get some bits in & pick up a prescription that was short.

    Hope everyone has an easy Sunday :j

    Hi Tink :) Great news that the store card is nearly gone :T What's your next plan of action? Will you try and overpay all the other debts or are you going to concentrate on getting rid of one in particular?

    I also like coming home after a holiday and getting myself organised. :)

    Hope you've had a lovely weekend. xx

    Thanks Tea!

    I'm still half way through your diary and in total awe of your budgeting skills, you have inspired me to get my notebook out and start writing my spends out as I do seem to loose track of what I have bought. Back to basics is a good place to start!

    Holiday was lovely but I'm exhausted! Still ploughing through the washing but ended up having a nap today which I rarely do unless I'm really tired. Hope I still sleep tonight :o

    I'm hoping when the SC is gone I can pay off the Purchase which I am hoping to manage in 2 months. I know I should over pay the loan as it has interest on it and the rest is 0% but I'm hoping another small debt will keep me focused. I really want to build up an EF too it's at £150 at the moment so hoping to build it up a bit more.

    Need a meal plan idea for the next few days to get me started until I order a shop. I have a list started so need to get on that too and get some batch cooking done.

    * Spag Bol
    * Chilli
    * Chicken curry

    Think this is a good start for filling up the little freezer again as ran it right down before holiday. Would like some good ideas for different family meals to try? Anything I can make in the slow cooker or one big pan and freezes well is the way I like to cook ;)

    I need to write some positive notes as I'm feeling down today

    I'm £15 away from clearing my 1st debt and I just feel like things are dragging me down :(

    * I have put £1.26 in my 1p a day jar.
    * I have bought mince and chicken so I can cook this week.
    * All the bills are paid and cleared
    * I paid 2 weeks dinner money so I'm paid up until half term.
    * I survived Monday :D

    I don't know why I feel so de motivated but I just want to keep doing productive things.

    Hoping everyone is plodding along :p

  • What about a 1% challenge to clear that card? Every 15p squirrelled away is 1% towards what’s outstanding? I’m a fraction / percentage freak so that would help my motivation.

    Morning Tink, That's a good idea from INOD, especially as it's only £15 you need to clear the card.

    We all have days were we feel demotivated. TBH after my money comes in on the 1st and I've allocated it to my pots and sorted out my weekly spends, that's pretty much it for the month. The only exciting bits then are at the end of each week, where if I have anything over I can top up the pots :o

    I'm with you on clearing the lowest cards first to keep you focused and on track. I know it's not everybody's way of doing things, but I'd rather see a debt completely disappear and move on to the next one. And if you're only talking a couple of months before you can cross the Purchase off your list even better.

    Hope you feel a bit better about things today. Have a good one. xx

    Just trying to catch up!

    It's been a crazy week! I finally managed to pay the £15 off the SC so that is 1 debt down :D YEY!

    Feel really pleased with this. I'm not quite sure which way I'm going to go for the next debt but will make a plan and update when I have made my mind up.

    So far all bills are paid and accounted for, it's nearly the start of a new month for us as get paid on 20th so will be filling some pots up soon.

    I really need to meal plan and sort out our food. I have been poorly and it's always the first to go out the window so I need to work smarter this month ;)

    We have some work to the house finally getting finished next week (hopefully) and I will be feeling so much better once this is done as sick of having things all over the place. DH has been working hard to finish the garden too and has done a really good job so I'm hoping to get out and get some flowers planted tomorrow :j

    If you have noticed the time you will see I'm not sleeping very well again. I'm just a bit all over the place otter our holiday and it really knocks me. Think a week at home and taking it easy should sort me out - especially if I can get some batch cooking done and the freezers filled again.

    I shall pop back when I have some more organised thoughts. Thanks for popping in and checking on me!

    Thanks HSL!!

    I'm hoping to clear another debt in a couple of months but not sure what is the best way to do it? Everything but the Loan & OD is 0% so should probably do one of those, but with only £541 on the purchase I can get rid of that.

    I'm going to up my EF Savings from £50 a month to £100 so I can get some more ££ put aside as the loan was from when the boiler broke and we had no EF.

    I'm still in wide awake land and can't sleep but think I'm going to have to try now or I'll be useless in the morning!
