It's a toss up to decide whether playing a letter writing game in your spare time is worth saving yourself £60 for, for many people.
But this forum exists for people with indignation at stupid charges by stupid predatory car parking companies!
The payment doesn't rise from £60, which you'll see if you read a bit more of the newbies thread.0 -
Did you see this in the NEWBIES thread?...Stephenc1971 wrote: »My only concern is if all fails, payment is more than the original 14 day £60

Of course I will fight it that's why I'm here.0 -
OK. Read the newbie. Found the blue template.
This company are in the IPC, shall I send the blue template?
Sorry for being lame, but it's a minefield to us simpler folk0 -
Hi there.
Okay, so I did a search for UKPS on here. Searching for similar situations with the same PPC is always advisable. I found this one, for example:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5969413/ukps-pcn-1st-appeal-attempt-need-further-help&highlight=ukps
They are indeed IPC members which means that you will not get a POPLA code with the almost inevitable rejection of your first appeal.
Just a bit more searching suggested that this company are not very litigious at the moment. But if they did take this to court then having done the first appeal would show that you'd played by the book. Looking at the circumstances of the 'parking event' I would imagine that you would have a very good chance of winning if it did come to that.
The PPCs really try it on, that car park sounds a shambles. They also make the 'consequences' sound a whole lot scarier - and more costly - than they actually are. That's why it helps to do quite a bit of reading on this forum, to get an idea of the reality.0 -
Checked on Google maps, and going back to site to look at signs and take photos.
Very small signs, and not clear of where they are meant for.
Appeal will be based on this.0 -

Taking pictures of the signs is a good idea. In the first instance just send the blue template unaltered. As this is an IPC outfit further appeals are pointless. They reject them out of hand.
Ignore the debt collectors letters they are just scary letters. Do not ignore a genuine Letter Before Claim or court papers.
This sad bunch don't seem to do court much. The blue template lets them know you are getting help here and are clued up. It puts them off court as they tend to lose against forum assisted defences.0 -
Once the template letter sent, guessing it'll be rejected. What should I expect, and how long after?Stephenc1971 wrote: »Don't know what to do.
Read ignore it, if you acknowledge it you'll get bombarded.
Now you've said it's silly to ignore.
I've read the newbie thread as advised still no clearer0
