Hi, just a quickie from me.
I had a bit of a lie in this morning as DH took DD1 to orchestra and then we spent a tense afternoon at MIL's. DH is getting really cheesed off with having to go over every weekend. It would be easier if she was a bit more grateful and moaned less. Even the kids have started to get a bit fed up of being dragged over there every sat/sun.
After her failed knee operation she is unable to drive and needs to walk with a frame, but thankfully she is still able to live in her own house and climb the stairs and cook for herself. She has a carer who comes in to do her washing, cleaning, ironing and shopping etc. Her friends and neighbours have also been really good and patient with her but she is one of the most difficult people I've ever known! Oh yes and I almost forgot she's really deaf and refuses to wear a hearing-aid!
Anyway next weekend we're having a break from going over there, otherwise DH will end up saying something he might regret!
Families eh? Speaking of which we've been invited over to my brother's for a meal tomorrow which we're looking forward to. He also has 2 daughters and they all get on really well together (thankfully).
Hope you all have a good evening!

Pink, I would suggest you drink several glasses of said wine, my DD is 13 at the end of this month  I know EXACTLY what you are on about, enjoy xx she says heading for the chilled white in the fridge :D
  • If it's any consolation to those of you suffering with tempramental teenage daughters, when they get through the teenage years they will be a joy to you just as my daughters are to me.

Pink, sorry to hear that DD is being a royal pain in the rear. Maybe you should send her over to her auntie Haribo who could then lose her????

Haribo, that's a bit harsh suggesting AussieLass wears a balaclava. She's not that bad looking in a dim light you know.

I've just returned from the restaurant - we were at the Bronte Steak House in the middle of nowhere, Co.Down. It was v.busy, and no wonder...portions were huge and everything was utterly delicious. I was in pain by the end of it, almost wanting to cry as I was so overstuffed. How stoooopid am I eating so much!?! If anybody has heard of that place and is wondering if it's worth going to, go ahead, it's fabulous! It's a little pricey, but it's so good I think it's worth it.

Dorry, please don't set your yakking husband on me!! I am never especially sociable in the middle of the night, if anybody is with me they get snapped at. Chance would be a fine thing (ie having somebody with me in the middle of the night). Maybe you could just say "yes darling, tell me all about it" then discreetly pop some earplugs in and nod off back to sleep. Oh and give some earplugs to the poor dog too.

Aime, sorry, I'd usually be up for a Xmas dinner, but just thinking about food is unpleasant right now. Serves me right, it really does.

As for the crumble...sorry chicks, it's done a vanishing trick. I could do another one tomorrow??

I'm away for a lie down

    Hello,

I've woke up this morning without a squirmy feeling. :T It feels great. I haven't finished my dishcloth contrary to reports :p, only done a few rows but I hope to do some more today.

Ellie I hope things improve soon. Rant away. We're all here to listen.
Busygirl I'm sure she appreciates it deep down. Look forward to next weekend. ;)
Haribo :D Well, well, well. Who'se a silly girl then. Lucky you remembered to walk home with the girls. Now that really sounds like a irish joke. You wouldn't be Irish would you? :rotfl:

Pink Hope you've chilled out a bit more now. (((hugs)))

Better get going. Have a good nights sleep everyone. Byeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
