Morning everyone

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday 17th November 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

I hope that everyone who had the dreaded lurg or who thought that they might be going down with it is feeling lots and lots better. It sounds a brutal little bug.

So, it's Saturday:j:j Today I am meeting up with a friend and we're heading off to a newly opened Outlet centre near here, then going off for some nosh. I haven't got as much as two brass farthings to rub together so won't be buying anything, other than the cheapest item on the menu. Still, it's a day out...I don't have to spend a lot of money to have a nice time.

At some point tomorrow I'm going to have to repair my wo*k uniform. Why I didn't do this at the beginning of my week's holiday rather than at the end, I don't know. The blouse has come undone under both arms, and I can see customers do a double take when they get an unexpected flash of flesh. The trousers are too long, and I WundaWebbed them originally, but that has come undone. I might actually use a needle and thread this time.

Breakfast...leftover crumble which my friend and her kids didn't want to eat
Lunch...last remaining morsels of said crumble
Dinner...cheapest item on the menu at the restaurant we're going to - wouldn't it be ironic if that was crumble...
Snacks...chocolate probably, cos I'm in a bit of a mood.

I will buy a lottery ticket, in fact might even buy two. Buying hope for £2 is a good investment, IMHO - usually I don't check my numbers for a few weeks, so have that hope burning away in the back of my mind until I do:rotfl::rotfl:

Churchie - what's your address, and I'll send you your portion of crumble. It's got cinnamon and nutmeg in it too. Do you want some custard?

Have a fantastic Saturday everyone.

Snowy

Morning.. Weekend off for me. We need to clean the house after a busy work week and then decide what to do with our weekend. No plans for a change.
Went to Eden project last night. It's only 2 miles away and we got in free, so cheap night out. It's great walking around the biomes at night. They have an ice skating ring this time of year too and music. Really quite a nice evening walk.
I think the house hold has now got though with it's sickness bug, so we won't have to worry about that anymore as we have had our turn.

Well folks not much to tell... have a nice day

    morning campers!
not sure what to do today, apart from my seat on the sofa is booked for 5pm for a certain football game. in saying that, I find it hard to watch these games. I get too nervous. Whether we win lose or draw we'll have a little celebration..or two.

might sort out tickets for Joseph later. plan for eating is a curry. our local Indian restaurant was closed for a re-fit but when I passed yesteray it has re-opened :) Saturday night is not OS night ;)

    Good Morning Everyone

Much as I love crumble Snowy, on this occasion I will decline. DS's Graduation next Saturday, so think I may be on water only between now and then to recover from the excesses!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously though I will see you over on the weight loss thread, must get my act into gear.

Shame you got dragged into work this morning Amie (spend the pennies on you;) ), How come you are after double portions of crumble - off the rails?

Must get down to Cornwall again N9eav we stopped due to the chaos on the roads when having to take holidays in peak time, but now we can attach our shell and go anytime could be worth a late Spring/early Summer trip (I love the long evernings), must see if we can fit it in, maybe not 2008, that is already getting a bit crowded!

Jamie - its OK for you - having just got back no leftovers in fridge so got to start thinking.

P-Pin - Rather you than me, essay writing was the one thing I hated, especially fictional ones, as I could never think of a story, and the "discuss" ones I never managed enough words, would you believe I cannot waffle enough for them - straight to the point why go round the houses. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mrs_M - you are doing very well on the weight loss, but wear some socks next time you hike! I also saw the ham on a frame with a knife at Le Perthus (border crossing town between France/Spain) for 50€ we managed to resist - just. Bought some others though and have a question will post it on the OS board rather than cluttering the daily up, so maybe you could have a look at it.

Made a BM loaf yesterday which didn't come up to expectations, so off to post for help, hair now looks like it belongs to me again, I can go out now. Made a hole in post mountain, DH was shreddng for over half an hour, but need to find the dusters and get too it, but only a cat-lick as builders in on Wednesday for floor repairs after June floods. Oh joy!

Congrats on the flat Scuzz. Hope the wedding goes fine H-H. (((hugs))) Mrs-Mix know you will be suffering with the cold weather. How was your walk P-Pen? Enjoy Joseph Dogrose.

((((hugs))) all round, hope the poorlies are soon feeling better. Take care
