I will never ever hear the end of it. I knew as soon as I typed it I'd regret it....

One of my friends OH's works in my supermarket and when I was at the checkout today he came up and reminded me not to leave without my trolley. :o:o:o:o:o We both got some funny looks off the other customers. :rotfl:

Blairweech. That's a crazy price. I thought we were bad in the Highlands at £1.03.

    Good afternoon! :hello:

Sorry, can't remember what anyone has said, except that it's Miss Crazychik's Birthday! Happy Birthday Miss Crazychik!:j and that Bargain Rzl got free champers last night!

Hardup Hester - glad the wedding went okay!

Penny_pincher - glad you had a better night. Lovely to hear that the chickens have started laying! They obviously feel very much at home.

I think this weekend will be mostly spent making sure all the washing is up to date, as in addition to everything else that's going on, MIL has been in hosp in Ashford for a few days and they are bringing her up to King's College Hospital asap for an operation on her spine. The docs think it should give her back (so to speak) a lot of the mobility she's lost since falling downstairs earlier in the year. So we will be fitting in hospital visits as well. At least it will now be easier for us to visit her as we can get a train to Denmark Hill, but of course it will be much harder for the Dover relatives to visit her, so I hope she, and they, don't think we are going to be able to visit her every day because with the best will in the world we just can't. Anyway, I'm sure the family will be coming up by car and getting the train from our local station, so I'm sure they'll be popping in for the odd cuppa, which will be great as I don't see my SILs and BIL as often as I'd like. But I hope for their sakes that MIL will be moved back to Ashford when she's well enough.

I did manage to do some dusting this morning, which is one of the things that gets forgotten, and swept the kitchen floor, so I think there's some hope for me yet! :p

I'm going to go now and read yesterday's thread, which i didn't get around to doing yesterday!

    Best wishes everyone,

    ivyleaf xx

  • PenPen Did you get lost on the walk?;):p

    Bye Bye

    Haribo x

Cooooooeeeeeee :j :T No, not lost - it's just a bit trciky posting with the lead and muzzle ;):p Had a great walk on the wolds. Stopped off in a beautiful old church, saw lots of wildlife. We then went out last night to see Elizabeth, followed by a meal out (thanks Mr T  ). Early start this morning with swimming, and I took DD to York to buy fabric and stuff for her textiles project. Cost me more than £30, and that won't be the end of it    Don't mind too much - she's no trouble, and I've got her to agree to never dress as a Goth, or wear her fringe over her face :D:D I started my Christmas shopping, bought some lovely decorations and candles, and we had a great ma and daughter time :T

DH has gone to see Notts County  DS is at a friend's, so DD and I are sat here with a slice of Lunberjack and a cup of Lady Grey. I've got the fire lit, and am going to make a potato, bacon and cheese bake.

Haribo - you're in my bad books - DH keeps singing *I'm a lumberjack*, melifluously, he says - but it's not    You have made up for it with the car story :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . I've PMed Aussie, just in case she hasn't seen it ;)

    Catch you later, Penny. x

    evening all
Haribo - that's a classic! My mum left me outside the co-op on my very first trip out - it was in the days when you could leave a pram outside the shop safely - she met a friend half way home who wondered why she was struggling with the shopping when she had a lovely new pram to put it under

goodness dd is literally hovering waiting to get on the computer and has reminded me that I have stuff to do - bleeding cheek - this will be a long post now.

productive day here - spent a couple of hours cleaning and then went to the Town of Many Charity Shops (but no loo or pharmacist). got 2 nice dresses and a sparkly stole thing for me, an £8 mountain of toys for dgs's birthday next week and a jigsaw puzzle for me and dd to do tonight. On the way back we went to the co-op which is closing down and picked up some bargains. Loads of Allinsons bakers grade flour, some fair trade coffee, big bag of sausage rolls, several bars of fair trade chocolate - all at 20p each :T :T :T - now before you all get jealous may I remind you that my life is not always this exciting :)

    hugs to ivyleaf and dlb
    happy bday little miss chick
glad you enjoyed the wedding HH
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
  • HARIBO~ the car tale reminded me of ME! I took MIL’s cat to the vet.fine no probs came home dropped them off and drove off with the Cat still in the boot! Only when i looked in the mirror and spotted MIL waving like a loon i twigged what i had done.... you aren’t alone.
HESTER~ glad the wedding went well, and you felt included.
DLB~ sorry your car failed, but glad its not costing the earth to fix.
    TAPLADY~ hope your ok
STEFEJB~ if that was me i would never let my Mum live it down
Having a bit of a carp day today. OH told me yesterday that his boss is dropping his pay by £40 per week, (he works in the building trade and his boss has basically ballsed up his accounts and is now back tracking to recoup money) then in the next breath OH tells me that the aforementioned boss is then taking the workers out for a curry after work (which is where they are now ). Me and OH had a row last night, with me basciaclly ranting that his boss needs to sort his priorities right and pay you before paying for a meal!!!!
OH is a soft touch and says he doesn’t want to say anything because he hasn’t been there long! God if it was me..... money is worrying me anyway before he dropped this bombshell. So ive took the dog out and cried my eyes out on the field. Good job its dark now. :o
Now im gonna watch strictly and forget about it till OH gets in. Sorry for the rant but i haven’t got many friends and this is my only outlet. Good news i made £25 in one of my survey accounts which ive transferred to my bank.:j

Sending anyone who is feeling as good as i do lots of cuddles and TLC.:grouphug:

I can confirm that she has finished her dishcloth and has now made THIS which should come in handy for her nightly neighbour stalking. ;)
