I’ve made an overpayment of £64; some from an account Tilly Tidy and £32 from a missing cash back claim that has finally been paid from a purchase in September 2021! My son was on a holiday activity yesterday in town. We went on the park and ride bus service which cost £3.80 (child is free) rather than £7.60 (child is charged) all for driving 10 minutes to the P &R service. I bought myself some new jeans which cost me £16 rather than £25 as I had some vouchers to use up. Will be doing food shop today and stocking up on household and basics as I have a £6 off voucher if I spend £40, all too easy nowadays. Busy end to the holidays but all factored in to the budget. I need to work out a monthly plan for the savings/overpayment planning. My 2 year tracker ends in a year and then I’m on SVR for the remaining loan, that condition was part of the deal. I’m hoping as the interest rates are forecast to fall a bit this year by next January the SVR may be similar to what I’m paying now 🤞SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,453 2025 OP £2991/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5477/£21,930 (24.97%)4

Any news on the hound? Your frugal start to the new year is going wellDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Update on potential hound. She is now at the rescue kennels for assessment. They have put her on their FB page because as I told my son if she isn’t cat friendly she still needs a home. She is gorgeous and has had several comments. I’m busy trying to stop myself looking at new hound coats and harnesses which we already have of Hettys and they have all been washed. It’s so hard when they dangle shiny things in front of you 🤣SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,453 2025 OP £2991/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5477/£21,930 (24.97%)2

I’m afraid the hound was a no 😢 very unfriendly to cats apparently. They have said they will keep looking and I’m top of the cat friendly list when one appears. I’ve also said I’ll be in touch should anything change with my 17.5 year old cat 🐈. I’ve filled out a form for another greyhound rescue today so see if they get in touch 🤞SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,453 2025 OP £2991/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5477/£21,930 (24.97%)2
