Not been around for sometime; where does the time go? Well I’ve achieved a mini milestone in the fact that my mortgage is now lower than it was when I sold up 5 years ago (5 years on 15th July so nearly exactly). When I sold my last property the outstanding mortgage balance was £53,623 but now my current mortgage is below £53,500; dead chuffed 😁. My remortgage is due 31st October and I had a quick look a couple of days ago and the deal I did see has been withdrawn, also they are only offering 2 or 5 year deals, the 3 year one has gone. Still a good saving and I was undecided between 2 and 3 years so decision made for me. My aim of getting balance down to 50k for remortgage might be tight as I’m having my flat roof over the dormers re done in August. It won’t use all of my emergency fund but I had allocated part of that to get the outstanding balance down for remortgage time. We are going away for a couple of nights in late August but that shouldn’t cost too much and there is no holiday club over the summer so saving there (just hope my sanity lasts!). Still working from home and as the government have said employers should take into account childcare issues it will be early September before I could get back into the office. Realistically it will probably be later than that but we await further info from work. Food budget over summer will be tighter and I need to stop him scoffing everything in the cupboards, also when he goes back in September he will be on packed lunches so I’ve permanently factored more into the shopping allowance. And on the point he’s due a feed!😂SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)6

Morning everyone, I seemed to have away for a while, just felt a bit meh about everything at the moment and the constant doom on the radio. I’ve stopped listening and now listen to podcasts; problem solved. Found out that I haven’t got all my childcare slots as they are oversubscribed. Catch 22, more people want spots as not allowed to have family to look after kids but spots reduced due to restrictions. I’ve got no care at all on Tuesday or on a Wednesday morning. I’m on a waiting list but not hopeful. I don’t know how we are meant to get “back to normal” when there are barriers at every step. Currently I’m not expecting to be back in the office before end September and then according to the doom merchants I no longer try to listen to we will be into a second wave and as a 50+ citizen (just!) I will have to isolate! Despite the fact I am fitter and healthier than a lot of 30/40+ people I know, which is why I no longer listen to the news 😆 I have made an overpayment of £340 to the mortgage and hopefully there will be a bit more later in the month. Shopping budget is always a bit of a challenge with ever hungry son and there is no way that will be reducing any further as September sees packed lunches rather than free school lunches. I’ve got a couple of days off at the end of the week and we are meeting my cousin so I’m looking forward to adult conversation, although we are very different personality types. I’m definitely glass half full (mostly!😉) whereas she is always functioning with a very empty glass! Three weeks today we are going up to Northumberland for a couple of nights in a shepherds hut so I think the break will do me, my boy and the hound a world of good 🥳. Sorry for the moan and thanks for listening 😁SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)4

Hello! Well I’ve made another op of £250 so that’s £590 so far for the month. We go on our break in 10 days and I’ve just had an email confirming all the C19 arrangements on site. I’ve got one more full working week (at home still) before he goes back to school on 9th September. I’ve had my remortgage letter from the bank and if I do nothing I still save £40 a month! Going for the deal I want I will save £100 a month. Two year fixed deal with 10% op limit so after this deal will just go onto base rate for remainder and chuck it all at ops. Mortgage is currently 52,475 and their calculations were based on 52,000. Hoping to be down nearer 51 but we’ll see. I haven’t seen one of my cats for nearly 2 weeks now ☹️ I’m hoping someone else is feeding her. My son’s behaviour is still unpredictable, sometimes lovely, most times devilish. Hoping maybe time off work will help as I’ll be able to spend time with him rather than trying to split myself into several parts; you never know there’s may even be a little amount of time for myself 😂. Still waiting to hear from the guy doing my flat roof as to when he will be coming. He said early August. If not heard by end of week I’ll get in touch and let him know we are away for a few days. In the meantime the money is safely in the EF.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)5
