PC issues today so might break for school work. Hetty won’t leave me alone today so I think she’s feeling the tension too. Hope you got your walk in. I had a nightmare computer day (workwise) so very sporadic working which was frustrating as loads to do.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning everyone, hope you are all safe and are able to enjoy some sunshine today. Well life is a bit strange and difficult at times and we are not getting much home schooling done but in the bigger scheme of things with a 7 year old it’s not the end of the world. I had last Wednesday as holiday because I needed a break and we went to tosco and got most things on the list. We queued to get in but once inside it wasn’t too bad. I was worried a bout taking my son in but have no other choice; he did behave and was very sensible. Our work have given us two extra days holiday so I will finish on Tuesday for Easter so I will get a nice long break from the whole work round kids fiasco. On mortgage freedom news I have hit a big target this month. I now have £1,000 in my emergency fund, a clear credit card and £5,025 in my premium bonds (I won £25 this month 😃). My savings are in a comfortable place so I’m chucking everything at the mortgage as I’ll be re-mortgaging in October. My aim is to try and get to £51k when the renew date is up; I’m currently at £56,600. I haven’t overpaid anything yet this month but I have just got £5 from Prolific, requested £26 from TCB and I’ve had my email from moneysaving energy club to say they have been notified of the switch and I should receive my £25 in the next few weeks. Think I’ll overpaid a little now and see what’s left towards the end of the month. I can’t believe my target for clearing it all is 5 years time; that really focuses the mind on the job 😱SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)4

Great news on your emergency fund, clear credit card and premium bonds
That's also great news that you've got an extra two days off work with DS. Hopefully it will make this week easier for both of you.Mortgage-free wannabe 2025 £571/30004 -
Hi Hetty - glad you were able to get what you needed at the shops. 2 extra days holiday sounds awesome. Will be a great feeling when you are mortgage free.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good morning everyone, hope you are safe and well. Yesterday was a calmer day as I am now on holiday although my son has had the tv and tablet withdrawn (which is working) mainly due to the way he has been speaking, or screaming normally, at me. I made an overpayment of £105 which has dropped me under 56 and a half. The DD is due out on the 10th so once that has gone out I’ll try to get it below the 56 mark. Hoping to get the garden weeded over the next few days and get some potatoes in, we also need to plant some courgette seeds. It’s my great nephews birthday on Monday and his present still isn’t here. I ordered it in February along with some things for my son’s birthday, the delivery keeps getting pushed back latest info is 7 weeks! He’s only 3 so I don’t suppose he’ll be too bothered as he probably isn’t sure what a birthday is yet. They will all get their gifts at some point. We went to the local sainsbobs yesterday and queued for ages to get in, no sugar or flour. Normally I do bake but my stores are beginning to get low. I’ve probably got enough bread flour for another 3 loaves and then that’s gone. Collecting a click and collect on Monday that my cousin has got for us but I’ve no idea what’s in it, she did say there are no crisps or biscuits as she knows I don’t buy them much to my boys disappointment 😉

Evening everyone. I’ve made an overpayment of £120 as I’m hoping when the direct debit goes out on Tuesday that will take me under the 56 mark. Spent a bit of time messing on the overpayment calculator and making decisions about how to proceed when it comes to the remortgage date later in the year so I think I’ve got a plan, however I won’t get the mortgage paid off by Easter 2025 ☹️ I might be able to squeeze it out by Christmas 2025 with a following wind. I’m collecting the click and collect from as*a that my cousin ordered for me as a gift. I’ve no idea what’s in it so haven’t been able to meal plan; hopefully there will be something for tea tomorrow!
