Hello everyone. First day was fab! The contrast with my other job was out of this world. I have a 5 week induction plan and all my IT access was already set up. It’s the little things that make the difference. Still full of cold but it’s no worse. Got a few jobs to do in the house and then off to bed.

First week was brilliant, I feel part of the team and settled already. We went running both Wednesday and Friday evening, next one is Sunday. I darent tell him the distance we are running is only half of a parkrun 5k. He doesn’t understand at his age how you improve little by little but he is doing really well. Paid a couple of bills yesterday and it was DD day for the mortgage which has dropped under the 58k mark! Sent in my changes to work hours, salary and childcare amounts to tax credits so waiting to see what that does to my payments so I can recalculate my finances. It will all change again in April!SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1

Hello everyone
New job is still good, I’m so relieved that I have finally found a good job and team. Got my tax credit review up to April and I’m loosing approx £45 a month. It will all get recalculated again in April but at least I’ve been able to budget up til then. My January grocery challenge isn’t going too great and I will be over but this month I’ve kept all the receipts so I can review what I’m actually spending it on. Did loads of chores yesterday, some out in the garden including putting up a bird box I had been bought, a tip run and wiping the glass over in the cold frame. I got 10 cards for £1 so my supplies are updated and I also got some seed potatoes and sweet pea seeds. I got some garden fleece to protect my camellia when it comes out. Last year the flowers went brown so when I read up about it it’s basically because I planted it in the wrong place. The early morning sun shines on it and scorches the flowers as they are damp from the dew. The advice was to cover it overnight with fleece so I’ll give it a go; another job to do when I go out to feed the birds.
Exercise is going well. We will be setting off for today’s run in about an hour and we are greyhound walking with a group this afternoon. I’m not sure if I feel any fitter but I’m sleeping better, that could be the new job though. My diet isn’t too bad but could do with tweaking a bit so that’s the next bit to look at. According to the nhs website for my build etc I’m only suppose to need 1,500 calories a day!
Been trying to plan a couple of days out over the summer but now have to stick to Saturdays as I’m working FT. Going to save my holiday as much as possible so I can have a few sanity days when I just want some peace and quiet :rotfl:SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)1
