Hi all (tiptoes back in). I havent forgotten you all, been madly busy with work, feeling bleugh with a dodgy thyroid, giving lots of support to DS1 who is back at residential college .. and we bought DS2 a second hand car which seems to have a fault with it.

But I am here, trying to keep the flying going, trying to pay off the debts, trying to keep fit and well and stay calm x

Yayyy YL xx :T:j Good to see you. I've been sending hugs across the ether so you knew we hadn't forgotten you :D

Life takes over sometimes. doesn't it?

Tipping down with rain here - but I got all the washing dry yesterday so I'm not fussed.

DS and GF have just arrived. I asked DS to have a word with GF about taking shoes off at the door like we do, so she's brought some slippers with her :) but carried her shoes upstairs??? :o

I've fed the birds, put out the recycling, made the bed, taken clean washing upstairs, and been to Mr C00p for some bits and nobs - including stuff for Monday's pack up. My anxiety levels are rising - back to work on Monday :(

My ankle is almost back to normal as long as I'm careful on stairs and getting in / out of the car. But I'm going to rest it this afternoon ;) and read a book.

Aww R I have been wondered where those hugs were coming from! thank you my lovely, looking forward to catching up on all the news.

Oh I am studying for exams too so I am pleased that I managed to do some of that today, have also sorted a mountain of dry washing and updated finances.

    Where did everyone go? :(

I watched a film on TV and decluttered a bottle of cider last night - not the 2L size!!! ;)

DS and GF returned from cinema with  experience to tell - they left the cinema to be approached by some early-teenage boys asking for help - a young woman was threatening to jump from the top of the multi-storey car park and they didn't know what to do! It wasn't a scam! DS stayed with young woman whilst GF called the police. Police talked her down - DS and GF were still a bit  when they arrived home.

I've had a lie in - making the most of my last day of freedom ;), made my bed and had a brew. Oh, I sloshed some bleach down the loo too.

Hope you are all having fun whatever you are doing :D

Wow Round - that will have been a family saved from heartbreak; hopefully the young lady will get some support. Well done for the youngsters asking for help and your DS and GF for being there.

I am going to reward my baby step progress from the House of Doom with an afternoon in the garden / greenhouse. That’s if the others don’t decide that they have other plans for me. The troops are quiet at the moment, so fingers crossed.

Wow Round. Well done to your DS and GF, as well as the teenagers for taking action.

Hey guys, if it is OK with you I am just jumping straight back in and will start tomorrow.

Have to report another failed enterprise I'm afraid - set up dog walking business, got overwhelmed with how much I was out of the house so switched to walking for someone and same happened - got overwhelmed and anxious but was paid half of what I was getting working for myself so been signed off by GP for a month and back on mirtazapine cos anxiety rife. This was on Wednesday. Lost my job on Wednesday too.

Am determined now just to be happy with what I have and make the most of it. DH working and had pay rises so I am fortunate enough not to have to work but have picked up a bit of typing to get a little bit of 'me money'.

Ramble ramble etc but I am back here and will do my best to stay on track. House disastrous but never mind baby steps and all that.

Love to all as ever xx

Welcome back Mumof2 and YorkshireLass

:T:T:T to Round's DS and his GF, as well as the teenagers who first realised that something was wrong.

We had our church AGM this morning and DH's church have theirs this evening, so I cooked a substantial late lunch and we will have salad sandwiches when he comes in later. I need to make a cake for the Old Wives' AGM tomorrow - it might be our last, as the group is now very small, and nobody is able to take on the job of Secretary, with responsibility for organising the fortnightly programme. It is always embarrassing inviting speakers and then having only half a dozen people turn up. We have done 50 years, so we might just become a coffee and chat group once or twice a month, in members' homes.

I also need to tidy the study bedroom before DH gets back, then I can start the new Flying week with a clean sheet. I also have some cabbage plants to pot on - though I managed to get the majority of my other seedlings planted out yesterday without getting wet or blown over :)

See you later on the new thread... x
