Sit down & read this one slowly...

You do realise don't you that Bob & I clearly know each other in person. This isn't a whole internet thing like what you and i have going on & the rest of the people here where the default setting between us all is to never believe what the next man says, especially when he says it on the MSE forum.

I've known Bob for over 25 years. If he'd have given the copper attitude that warranted the copper being an A-hole then he'd have told me & had a giggle about it. I'd have then maybe left that bit out when retelling the story to you guys and just bullet pointed it - Bob was stopped, licence was looked at, points were given (or at least he'll receive a letter).

So no, i don't need glasses you smart ar$£ to see that if Bob had acted up in any way at all he'd have happily told me as he has done in the past where he's been at fault in situations. I can see quite clearly without glasses that if Bob tells me it happened like ABC then i know for sure it happened like ABC because if it'd been any different he'd have told me.

If your mother tells you she was chatting to Betty down the street the other day do you stop her and say now hang on a minute mother, perhaps it was Mavis you were speaking to because i'm an insecure person who always thinks everyone is lying to me.

    Or maybe you do. :)

I'll let you have the last word as i've made my point

And you wonder why you get a hard time on here... Oi veh...

    25 years? Poor Bob.
  • How would you send a driving licence off in the post, as in what method (standard first class, recorded, special)?

    Not really.

I work with (serve) the public so i see what the public are like. Sure there are exceptions & there's some genuinely nice people out there. You just have to endure the rest of the population to get to the nice people.

More than that though i tend to be with people as they are with me. Everyone starts at the top in my eyes and they can stay there or not it's up to them. Have an attitude and don't expect me to be all nicey-nice. I tried the whole treat people as you'd like to be treated thing and it didn't work out too well. Doormat would be an accurate word to sum that one up. Once i'd had enough of being one i decided to be with folk how they are with me. Some don't like it and wonder why i'm being all rude 'for no reason'.

Which was what I did when I last sent off my licence after accepting points/fine.

If your 'friend' used just 10% of the attitude you showed here, then I can understand (but not condone) why he got the reaction he did.

You don't become a doormat simply by not name calling. It's not obligatory to rise to other people's attitudes, you can put them on ignore. That's what the function is for - it works mostly.

Someone asking a perfectly acceptable question doesn't require the attitude you showed.
