Complain to your MP OP, they are asset to do some serious damage to these chancers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.

The leisure centre is not in my local community. I was visiting for a gymnastics competition.

But we say this because we know the only way to cancel these is by landowner complaint, not so people can answer ''no I haven't done that'' and hope for another suggestion.

There isn't another route. You are about to be sued.

You will either have to defend this in court, or get a cancellation by lobbying the landowner. You need to complain to the Leisure Centre (the Manager).

I didn't say no hoping for another suggestion, I answered no as I matter of fact. I am happy to go to court as I truly believe there has been no violation. I thought as a letter of claim has already been sent it was too late. Thank you for letting me know. I will contact the manager.

That matters not, one complains to one's own MP

    Hi guys,

Sorry to intrude on this thread but I thought it would be best to do a post on here to one of a similar nature rather than open a new one straight away.

I have received a PCN from ParkingEye (BPA member). I have been parking in this particular car park for as long as I can remember however I didn't realise that you only get 1hr 30, not 2 hours and I was apparently 1hr 50. I have thoroughly read the newbie thread and have prepared the online appeal letter but I wanted to check that this is the most current way of dealing with them as I note that the thread was dated 2013.

I had some help on here many years ago for one issued in my partners name by Armtrac (IPC members) but I know that BPA is different.

Thank you very much in advance for your support

I wish EVERY SINGLE PERSON who parks in a Supermarket car park would just do this, for a few months. Easy enough when the boot is open to let an empty bag cover the plate (nice and securely).
There’s a need to check the direction in which the cameras are pointing. Some capture the rear plate on entry and the front plate on exit.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If only I'd thought of this before! This is a great way of kicking back against them.

This particular one from ParkingEye caught front as going in and rear as going out, so I could've done this if I'd known!

The reason I didn't want to start a new thread is it clearly states on the Newbie not to start a thread, so before I did that I wanted to see if there have been any changes.

I will start a new thread.

    Thank you very much guys.

True, I guess I took it as read that people would, but maybe that's just me!
