No problem with you double or triple checking things

But do so by addressing your own perceived problems , as in this case

It was obvious that you check with Stoke court by phoning them , checking procedures and using a belt and braces approach , then telling us what the score is

What you encountered us a result of the courts changing , shrinking and having less dealing with more , but not everywhere , my local court is similar where the main ones in Manchester are taking over from local ones

This is how we get our information , from feedback from people like you , especially as the system changes almost daily
  • So I have just got off the phone to the court, they said they date stamp the letter from when I handed it in so I will be absolutely fine which is great. All done.

    That's good to hear.

Now follow that with an email, as suggested by nosferatu1001 in post #110.
  • Just received a letter off Civil Enforcement Ltd saying that they have discontinued proceedings and have cancelled the claim. They have notified the court. We did it! Thanks so much for everyone's help.
  • Is there anything I need to do now or has everything been taken care of? So relieved.

It might be a good idea to confirm that with the court. Give them a ring in the morning.
  • Good idea. Will do that tomorrow.
  • Just rang the court. They confirmed that the case has indeed been cancelled by CEL. Brilliant news!
