That's such a lovely story and what Christmad is all about :)

If you can't decide about the anti D's then don't for now, see how you go with other methods. I feel they were forced on Mr SA when he was in hospital 6 years ago. He doesn't think they've made any difference and he's still on them, never gets a review. I don't think it's a decision to be made lightly so if in doubt don't.

Like DIA says it's always difficult this time of year. Big hugs xx

    Thank you for your input.

  • I was on AD for two years and I did feel they helped at the time. I didn't want to be on them permanently so I came off them gradually without any problems. I've chosen not to have them this time as I'm using other methods of coping. It's a very personal decision so you must see how you feel.

It's very refreshing to hear different opinions , it is a personal decision I agree. Thank you for sharing.

  • On a brighter note, I have shifted a pile of paperwork today and done all my finances . Have finished wrapping my last presents and got a shopping list ready for tomorrow. I am doing Christmas lunch , we are having beef as no one likes turkey . Hoping the supermarket isn't to busy. Have planned a couple of visits to friends for after Christmas, local ones , I don't want to travel to far.

  • Sorry things are hard for you at the moment SG. :(

A few years ago one of my best friends was on antidepressants as she was going through a rough time with her husband (who is now an ex). She said they just made her feel 'normal' and that she could cope better on a day to day basis when taking them. Once she finally left him she came off them and was fine.

    Hugs and xxxx

  • I forgot to say one of the acquaintances texted me to ask what time she should come round. I said I cancelled the get together, she replied I thought you were joking. You couldn't write it, glad I cancelled.

  • Awww sorry your not feeling to great at the moment, you have had a lot going on though so it's understandable,I take anti Ds and like someone here said they just make me feel normal, I've been on them a long time though and don't think that's a good idea, they are excellent for getting you over a bad time so long as you explore other treatments too

Boo to your so called friends I would ditch them straight away
