Bit miffed tonight am I in the wrong here. I have invited people round Saturday night for a get together before Xmas . Three have said can they let me know on the day as they don't know what they are doing yet. That sounds to me like we will see if we get a better offer. Thankfully they are just acquaintances and not real friends . I have cancelled , I won't be anyone's alternative!Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

I think you are right. That is just rude xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

All the real life stuff had taken it toll on me , I had a major meltdown/panic attack yesterday at work, not good. My manager begged me to go and see my gp , he know I haven't been myself for weeks. My job is very stressful and you need to be mentally well to cope.
At 2.00am this morning I went online to the doctors website and there was an appt for this morning. When I saw the doctor I burst into tears, felt a fraud as I didn't consider I was ill. Anyway the lady doctor disagreed and gave me a sick note for a month and anti depressants. I have never taken anti depressants in my life so am a bit nervous about them but am going to give them a go. I can always stop if they make me worse.
My employers have been brilliant about the whole thing but I am still fearful about being off for so long.
What a boring post .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
Not boring at all. I had three months off last year after just feeling a point of breaking and not being able to do my job either.
If you want to try the antidepressants then give them a go. I decided they weren't right for me, but that was my personal decision based on how I felt. I know lots of people who swear they helped them and would use them again if they felt they needed them.
Cancelling Saturday was definitely a good idea then.
Take care of yourself. I found a journal to write down my thoughts helped, but that's not for everyone. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

You’ve had a lot going on - things behind the scene here, family stuff and a house move as well as a demanding job and poorly parents. Be kind to yourself. Take the month off and enjoy the rest over Christmas. It sounds as if you have understanding employers.
I don’t blame you for cancelling your acquaintances- how rude. I’d stick with your real friends.

Thank you for your replies.
I feel very out of sorts today, I don't really want to do much.
I picked my DGS up from school at 12 , he chatted on the way home all about football:rotfl:
The DGC are spending Christmas abroad , they have just flown out to warmer skies. I will miss them dreadfully but they will see their other grandparents so that's good. Christmas isn't going to be the same without them.
Dropped a present off to a friend who lost her husband earlier in the year, very sad.
I received some flowers today as well which are brightening my lounge up from this darkness.
I am trying to remain positive but finding it hard. There are people worse of than me.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1
