  • I'm sorry you're struggling Sunshinegirl. You've been through a lot of stress recently so I'm not suprised it's taken a toll on you. Be kind to yourself. Do you have a relative or friend you could invite around to cheer you up? Alternatively what about an escapist film like a romcom or a good book and a hot chocolate to distract your thoughts. The way you feel is an understandable reaction to what you've been through recently. Allow yourself time to heal.

  • Thinking of you. Please be kind to yourself. Yes, there are people worse off, but that doesn't detract from how you are feeling so don't compare as that can make you feel worse because you feel bad for feeling so bad if that makes sense.

You are dealing with quite a bit, and need time to recover from it all and process everything. x

Well you made the right decision with the acquaintances that’s for sure - stuff them.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling so down, understandable though as you’ve had so much going on to cope with.

See how you go with the anti-depressants, you can always come off them if they’re not for you.

I wish you lived near to me you’d be very welcome round mine xx

  • Just had a lovely visit from a local family who came to collect a toy that I was getting rid of for free. The little boy who was having it has Down's syndrome, his face lit up when he saw it and he gave me a big hug . To me that's what Christmas is all about. He didn't want to put toy in the boot , he wanted it on his knee .

Still can't decide about AD tablets , am thinking of CBT online , my employers have access to a service that provides this .

Love the story about the boy and the toy :)

Sorry you are feeling a bit unbalanced. This time of year is hard and you will miss the GC away visiting their other grandparents. You've had some major changes this year and done brilliantly so just be kind to yourself. Sending a hug.

That's such a lovely story and what Christmad is all about :)

If you can't decide about the anti D's then don't for now, see how you go with other methods. I feel they were forced on Mr SA when he was in hospital 6 years ago. He doesn't think they've made any difference and he's still on them, never gets a review. I don't think it's a decision to be made lightly so if in doubt don't.

Like DIA says it's always difficult this time of year. Big hugs xx

  • I was on AD for two years and I did feel they helped at the time. I didn't want to be on them permanently so I came off them gradually without any problems. I've chosen not to have them this time as I'm using other methods of coping. It's a very personal decision so you must see how you feel.
