Christmas was a quiet affair shared with the people who mean the most to me minus my grandchildren and daughter. They arrived home last weekend and opened all their gifts they had a great time away but I am glad they are back.
I have done some sale shopping with Christmas money and bought a new coat , bedding and mugs.
Also some decluttering has gone on, GKs toys more have gone and more to go. An old chest of drawers has been taken today to be replaced with new sideboard to match console table in hallway.
My new mattress is coming in about a week , need to arrange that to be got rid of.
I am feeling a lot better within myself .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
As I say I feel a little more positive , I am working on my sleep, I have successfully managed no iPad or phone time for an hour before bed and during the night for the past week. If I get up in the night I read a book now , hoping to carry on with this. I am going ahead with getting some new things for my flat .
This year hasn't been the best for me, losing the person who meant a lot to me because he can't see how wrong his actions are. The RL stuff that had gone on this year, I hope is finished for a while.
The decade has brought many highs and lows , the next decade will bring retirement and going forward this is my main target financially. My debt is going down and will be cleared in 18 months .
I want to thank everyone who has commented on my diaries this past year. I also have met another MSE lady this year who I hope to see again in 2020.
Everyone have a good new year, I am not one for making resolutions or posting goals I just want to live life as well as I can , financially, health wise etc.
See you in 2020.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
I'm so pleased you had a good Christmas. Or perhaps look at it as two Christmases as you had an extra present opening day with DD and DGC.
Glad to hear too that you're feeling better.
Hope you have a good New Year's Eve and here's to a prosperous 2020!

I'm hoping for a better decade as this last one hadn't been the best, although it has brought me my two lovely grandchildren and promotion at work. This next decade will also see me into retirement which is a very scary thought  I feel old
Anyway here's to a fabulous new year for you xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Glad that you are feeling a bit more positive.

I'm glad you had a nice family Christmas and that you are feeling better generally
.
I think one positive thing about retirement would be more time to spend seeing loved ones and activities that enrich you like Pilates or art classes (or whatever appeals to you). Also being able to take the time you need when you're ill rather than struggling in to work. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
