My dad is waiting for a doctor to phone him, no home visits. I think he will need to go A&E but we will see.As I said yesterday DGS wanted some Christmas bits for his homework , to make a card for a nursing home resident , it had to be a Christmas tree, this is what he made. I would be happy to receive this.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6

Hope all is well with your dad.

No A@E trip needed , the doctor gave some medication and it had the desired effect. I am so glad because my dad was so down yesterday and that isn't him.I have been looking at figures over the weekend to go part time , I could do it but I wouldn't have anything spare to go on holiday with or any treats . Just nice to know though that I could it if needed. Thinking about my mum and dad needing more care in the future. The nearer I get to 60 the better , then I would get my first pension.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.5

Is it a possibility for you to reduce hours once the loan is gone? Can you claim attendance allowance for either/both of your parents to help bridge the financial gap?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. It’s definitely worth looking into Attendance Allowance. Hope you manage to sort something out so that you can care for them if needed. Glad the doctor managed to prescribe something to help. He does really well on the whole and has a great attitude- it must be hard seeing him poorly.
