My year of living dangerously

I'm much the same at the moment, feeling a bit meh some poorliness (medical, not financial) and worrying about some planned and some unplanned spending so I'm avoiding accountability by hiding.
The run up to XMAS is not the right time to jump back on the bandwagon (although I am being quite good), so will stay lurking and give myself a good talking to and then start a new diary with some new objectives. Good luck and be kind to yourself you may be setting your target to highHairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »I hope you feel more positive soon DIA. I find Christmas makes me want to fritterso it's not a good time of year to be frugal, but damage limitation is important. I'm sure in January you'll feel more motivated to be frugal. Not just a new year but a new decade!
How are you going to spend Christmas? Do you have family that you see?Seasidegal58 wrote: »As you say it will be a new year and new decade soon. Don't worry too much about the frittering this time of year. And now for the big confession that may explain my frittering and money worries...you see I turned the job down  I know. So back to relying 100% on my own resources, so I really need to get organised and make my money work for me for as long as it can.

Sorry to hear you not feeling the greatest at the moments DIA
TBH , from what you've been through , you can't expect to be in the best form all of the time . You're still on course to do what you are setting out to do . It all takes time .
Have a great Christmas and hope the other posters have a great one too . You have a great diary and something you can be proud of ..0 -
Well if the job wasnt' for you then it wasn't for you. I'm sure in January you will get a surge of money saving zeal. Hopefully January will get your creative juices flowing too. There's something about a new year that makes you want to make changes for the better

Fritter spend is my biggest failing... so sympathise. Still weighing up whether to take about £40 of extra presents back... probably should but worried I will just get tempted to spend on other things instead lol

Still out of sorts so not a productive day. Edgy the squirrels coming back doesn't help with jumpiness. (The guy who was going to the fascias won't put the quote in writing and has upped the price by 50% for thicker UPVC he said he needed, so I can't proceed with him) I don't like feeling like this.
At 3pm I thought it will be dark soon and I have achieved nothing so I got my backside into gear.
I made a 'financial sorting out' call and things are so much clearer. I now know what I need to do with this issue. The downside is I might have to cash in some PBs, but that is okay, I need the cash and it is there for exactly this situation. I can always build it back up again when this new financial situation is resolved. FROG EATEN :T
I made a GP followup appointment. The new appointment is well into the NY but at least I have it. FROG EATEN :T
Replied to 2 texts that needed responses in a (faked) cheerful manner.
This evening I will be tidying up my surroundings/decluttering and burning relaxing oils. Tomorrow might be better. Hoping soIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

At the end of the day that sounds like a productive day - even if it involved an amount of hesitancy early doors
Its difficult when you get mucked around on jobs/quotes. I think you are right to say noI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
