They are allowed 1 repair, the repair failed, they have the option to make you a offer of a reduced refund or like replacement.
In this case a replacement would be your BEST plea to them, state they no longer have the right to repair as this used up, they made the TV non functional, you want a LIKE FOR LIKE replacement as the fault was present at time of sale.
I think you may get a better response from this than demanding a full "new" price or a reduce settlement.0 -

Watched the above vid and it quite clearly states that LG will rectify any problems irrespective of the warranty status of the TV.... just contact them.
What am I missing?0 -

It’s a bit hard having to wade through all the whingeing & whining about having to actually be in for the engineers and compensation demands.
Anyway, my boiler started having issues a while back. Engineer came tutted said he didn’t have the part so disabled it for safety reasons. Seemed perfectly reasonable. Came back 2 days later with the part and 45 minutes later Bobs your your uncle. Didn’t feel the need to demand a refund from the boiler supplier nor did I refuse to let the engineer back in saying you’ve had your 1 chance to repair it. As for wanting compo for wasting time? ‘Billy no mates’ springs to mind and as for £600/day....... amateur.
It might be worth finding out what JL have to say i.e the engineer needs a part or whatever.0 -

I question the need for you to let everyone know that you (allegedly) earn £600/day. How would it be different to a person on a minimum wage zero hour contract and lots of bills who also couldn’t afford to take time off work? Maybe a “I can’t afford to take time off work” would be a more appropriate form of words although it won’t massage your ego half as much.
BTW £75/hr inc. VAT? as I said..... amateur.
Anyway, what has JL said the next step is?0 -

That's what I was thinking :rotfl: £1500 TV (tried to make out it was a £2,500 set - which it was when it was released though) which is also what I paid for mine. But If my income was £1200 a day I'm pretty sure I'd avoid all the hassle and just get JL or CC Company to make me an offer and get on with the rest of my life.0
