if you think which are not saying things as they should be, then please tell me. i thought that they would know what they are talking about - if they dont, then please tell me0

That’s Which? though, who have summarised the contents. You said you’d read the CRA, hence my disagreeing with you.0

My post is directly from the relevant legislation. I interpret it to mean that after 6 months they can make a deduction for any usage you have had.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
ok, i have misrepresented it. my reading of the cra is from what i found on which, the consumer rights group, who up until now i thought were trustworthy. so - please disregard what i think - tell me what you think0

Have a read through the actual Act. Section 24 specifically relates to your situation and point 8 seems to be what you would like to do - a rejection after an attempted repair.
I’ve no idea what JL might offer, but be prepared for substantially less than £1500 because like most technical items, the depreciation is steep in the first year.0 -
ok thanks, i will do. how the hell do which, who are supposed to know what they are talking about, get it so wrong then??0

this message is too short so i will make it longer0 -
They haven't got it wrong, they've said you are entitled to a full or partial refund which is correct.
What they haven't done is made clear that this will vary according to the timescales as to when you reject the item. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
