The hard work has already been done/submitted, on the day make sure all your documents are in order so can you deliver your case in a clear and concise manner.
Be early, look for your hearing room from the list and then sign in with the usher and wait.
Nerves are normal but the hearing won't be as bad as you think.
Next week it'll all be over so you can move on and put it all behind you.
Good luck.0 -
Hi all,
Had a call from the court yesterday (and I double checked, it was definitely my local court)
And they had to postpone the court appointment as they didn't have a judge available to hear the case today.
They said they should get back to me by the end of today with the new time and date. Hopefully sometime soon and not another month or two as I was ready for this to be over!

That's unfortunate as I know how it feels to prepare everything then wait for the day to finally arrive to put it all to bed.
Not what you needed.
Not sure if you can try and claim for two days loss of earnings as it was short notice (probably capped at £95 regardless)
Did they get back to you?0 -
Hi!
Yes it was rather annoying but I guess it couldn't be helped.
The new court date is Friday the 1st of Nov, so not too far away.
Just more time to get ready then !0 -
Hi,
Annoying yes but as you say not too far away, I'm sure you'll be fine just make sure you submit your expenses accordingly.0 -
Thanks for your reassurance and help again!0

I had actually got into the court when the judge said that there was not time to hear the case and it was rescheduled for three months later. I think that they assume some cases will settle on the day.
Good luck for your new date and stay focused.

Hi, question!
Can I just bring my costs schedule with me on the day or was I supposed to submit it before hand. And if so is it too late, it's on Friday?
Thank you0 -
Latest advice is to submit costs schedule with your witness statement but, since you have already submitted yours, send costs schedule two-three days in advance of the hearing, in which case, send it today. Do not just rock up with it. Don't forget to serve a copy on the claimant.0
