:T meg . Really pleased that you did it and made the donation.
I could live on egg and chips.:D0 -
She has already stated what she ate and said a few things were free.
I think she's done brilliant and no more needs said, sorry.0 -

Why are some people trying to make me out to be the bad guy here????
Im questioning the 50p a day because I personally can not see how it can be done without buying from yourself
Even with the limited info posted, where did the flour and fat materialise from to make the pastry for the quiche? The mayo for the egg salad? And looking at the limited info 1 kilo of carrots, 1 kilo of spuds and 1 kilo of parsnips spread over 14 meals is near on a starvation diet. Also not tea, coffee, milk, sugar or any type of drink recorded?
So I still admire the OP for attempting it but once again Im stating its not possible to go to the shops and buy £3.50 of food for 1 person for the week and its wrong to make out it is
Im sorry if that offends you, but thats my stance and I stand by it0 -
Maybe it is time for you to shoo away. Shoo, shoo.
Surely there are other areas here you can go and post?
You did spoil this one for me.0 -
And I find it extremely sad that you find it "offensive"
I applauded you
I said I really can not see how it could be done without buying from your own stores, as all the blogs and posts about these challenges actually do that - cook a meal and then cost per portion
50p a day - Im sorry, Ive said from the beginning of this thread, that I personally can not see how its possible
If you wish to be offended by that - thats your provogative
If you wish to prove to me otherwise, meal plans, and portion sizes wouldn't go amiss
I can see that there is some protein in the bacon and the eggs. I'm assuming it could have been a crustless quiche and pie, possibly with a potato base. Meg did explain that this was a one off challenge not that she'd advocate eating that way regularly although her menu is a lot more healthy than many people eat.
I've no more background knowledge than you but I've gleaned that much from reading the posts. It appears that you're determined not to understand how it was done so are looking at the posts somewhat blinkered.
That's your prerogative.;)0 -
LOL spot on lovely, good old crustless quiche and the pie made with potato. good old slimmimg world eh. a lovely lady on Food Surviving on 50p a day on face book has given me a recipe that uses some of the porridge blended into flour and uses fat saved from grilling the bacon which I might have a go at sometime. Theres no Mayo because ermmm it was Egg salad not Egg Mayonnaise the recipe calls for just vinegar.Slimming World at target1

Now that post is sounding quite !!!!!y to me tbh
Not once have I not applauded you, I have said its great that you have done it, I have congratulated you on doing it
But I still have my reservations, yet rather then explaining how it was done, you have resorted to petty pot shots
Seriously you are not telling me that if someone posted up your shopping list and said - feed yourself for a week on that, and that alone, you would want to know a lot more?
My opinion is so uniformed because you are not supplying the information
Now if asking questions is against the ethos of this board, someone forgot to send me the memo0 -
Well, you kind of went all passive agressive - saying well done for donating money, and then , I don't believe you did it though, in the next breath.
I can see how it was done, and personally, I'd be gritting my teeth having to eat it, even with the seasoning...so well done...:)Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

I really don't know what your problem is.
I did not post YOUR shopping list and say feed yourself on that, I posted MY shopping list and what I ate, you choose not to believe it and then think I should prove it, I see no reason to or have any intention of proving anything to you. I would have been happy to photos and recipes up had I have received a polite request so No one forgo to send you an email but someone clearly forgot to teach you good manners.Slimming World at target0 -
Well you know, life is far too short
If the op says she done it that well done her ( as I have said all along)
I still can't see how it was done but obviously doubting Thomases are not welcome so I shall back out0
