What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Black out curtains, black out linings or black out blinds are the best.

However, the shape of one of our bedroom windows means that we can only use linings so light comes in as we have a pole. The shape of our windows also means we can't have a blind.

So, me and OH both have silk eye masks - you can pick them up quite cheap on amazon. They do work.

Strange how we're all different. I loathe sleeping in a completely dark room. It makes me feel claustrophobic. I'm not one of those that needs a light on (hate that too) but we have pale, cream unlined curtains in the bedroom.:)

Didn't manage to post yesterday but stayed AF. I found Monday difficult after weeks of drinking but persevered. No drinking today, I'm driving this evening.

    3/10 AFDs please Shaggy

Happy birthday whenever it happens, Barny. It's defintely a biggie, like all the other ones that end with a zero. I've found getting older is liberating but it took me a while to realise that!

I am, but I am an early riser anyway as hubs starts work at 7:30 and I start at 8 but it like the gradual wake I get from the sunrise i must admit!

    That sounds glorious!

OH is a snorer, but has always believed that no-one should have to put up with it, so if it's keeping me awake I ask him to stop and he turns over. He can't be that deeply asleep because I don't even have to raise my voice or shake him awake. (I used to snore when I drank, and sometimes did so so loudly I woke myself up!) When you're stressed, the snoring's bound to be difficult to live with. Can you have a word during daylight hours to work out a strategy with your OH for dealing with it, Arsenal Barnie? (((Hugs)))

Enjoy the tennis, Shaggy. 10/31 please.
    Better is good enough.

  • Honey bear the snoring never usually wakes me up but yes as not sleeping well I hear it. However last two nights have slept really well and when I was awake he was so quiet I wondered if he was alive! I usually get up and go in the other room and leave him to it. I know am a soft touch and should make him get out of bed, but he is such a stress bucket he would make such a big deal out of it. He has a bad back and is always scared his disc is going to slip again. Should be doing loads of exercises but doesn’t and walks round oh woe is me and sitting in all the wrong positions. He is awful at the moment. I feel like crowning him sometimes. He tells me you don’t know what it’s like. I do know I am having a big op on Monday and haven’t bl**dy moaned about it once! I expect after one day of doing all the chores he will have hired a housekeeper before the week is out. He has physio today, hope she can sort him out a bit, he is standing all crooked at the moment . Sorry to go on, I think he is peeing me off so much at the moment, I am looking forward to going into hospital for a break!

On the wine front have had 3 glasses two nights on the trot. Naughty I know. Tonight will be af, Friday won’t, it’s his birthday so out for lunch, then cinema and a couple of friends are coming round in the evening. I will have to be super angelic. I have decided not to drink at lunch or will sleep through the film. A couple of glasses with friends in the evening. Then it’s non all weekend ready for Monday.

    So 4/16 please Shaggy.
