Sorry to read the news Arsenal Bernie, hope you get more information soon.

I'm doing very badly this month so far but going to declare early for tonight to help me get some AFDs. You're not the only one at the bottom of the leader board Wanna Bee Free and more worryingly I have increased consumption last couple of weeks so that needs to stop now. I'm still trying to find this elusive balance, had it right in May where I was having 5AFDs and 2 days of drinking some wine (not too much) so want to get back to that. So 1/18 please.

It would be very easy to get into holiday mode early but I'm, determined to clock up one or two more AFDs so calling it now before I change my mind.

    4/10 AFDs please Shaggy.

Well, I'm having a really bad run of non-AFDs - not too excessive on any one day just too many days. Since I still want to lose weight (as I've been invited to a posh party in August for OH work) I'm going to do a 30 day AFD challenge....(and try and reduce my calories too! Phew!)

...there I've committed it to paper :)And I've just told OH too!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Another dry day to report so that's 7/16 for June please Shaggy. I had intended to have a drink yesterday because an old friend was in town and we were meeting for a catch up and, as I thought, a couple of glasses of wine. The evening didn't quite go as expected as my friend told me that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer a few months back and had surgery. She is having chemo followed by radio therapy soon.
She told me that (somewhat belatedly) she has decided to give up drinking. Her surgeon didn't forbid it but said " there's nothing breast cancer cells like better than a bit of alcohol". I used to drink far more than she did so I have a lot to think about. I am so grateful I found this forum as it is really helping me to drastically reduce my alcohol consumption, thank you. X

Sorry to read about your friend's diagnosis. It's all very scary.

Calling in early as tonight is definitely going to be alcohol free so 5/16 please.

Thanks for the good wishes. Hospital visit was pants. Not feeling great as more news not going my way. Will know a bit more in the week. Keeping my fingers crossed. It’s awful being in limbo but nothing I can do about it.

Interesting what the breast surgeon says about the breast cancer cells. Makes you think. I went completely off the rails yesterday after my appt. I am starting again and thinking about my health more than ever.

Feel for you Arsenal. Health scares are horrible. And I get petrified going anywhere near a hospital....
