Yes I was right. November 2010, so nearly 10 years.Live for the moment and plan for the future4

I gave up (bar one bottle of lager on my luxury holiday - one night camping near Brighton!) on July 30. Now, instead of spending over £40 a week, it now has worked out to an average of 38½p! KerCHING!
As Greg Wallace would say "That's a saving of £1,990 a year!"Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5 -
Hello
17/25 today. It's payday and I would normally treat myself to a couple of bottles of fizz, feeling very virtuousSay what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.5 -
Congratulations to marahouti & cathybird on reaching target 👏👏👏5

I think you're right Marahouti. I also suspect that a great many people have been helped even if they weren't regular posters. When I have used this site it has REALLY, REALLY helped me when i log in and concentrate on doing it. Unfortunately, i tend to get "lost" until i get myself into some awful situation through drinking then i crawl back. I tried AA for a while and it wasn't for me. This site is so readily available - and welcoming - and you can post whenever which i feel works better (for me) than making pleasantries at an AA meeting and fitting your life around scheduled meetings. For now, I'm sober and loving my clear head every day. Calling in early for tonight.marahouti said:ManPants you are another long time contributor🙂, you must have seen some changes.
I am a relative newbie in comparison, I joined in April 2019, but I have seen people come and go. I wonder how many people have been helped by this thread even if they only stay for a short time?
23/31 please Cathybird.
