Not 100% sure what you meant but how did you arrive at your target of 18 maggie? I set myself ground rules which is to be AF Monday to Thursday with exceptions for holidays and 'occasions'. An occasion might be eating out midweek. I find that helps take daily decision making away. I prefer to set myself a low 'floor' target of 10 and exceed it rather than beat myself up if I don't achieve a more aspirational figure.
This year I'm averaging 15 or so every month because there are no holidays or meals out to distract me. ☹️😢5 -
Cathybird & Seasons of Mist - thanks for the shout-out - I am glad I stuck with it too 😀
Like Maman, I try to be AF Mon-Thurs but I been having a few too many s*d it days recently.
My target for August is set low too as my final day at work is the 18th and I know it is going to be a bit emotional & upsetting - 23 years is a long time to spend at one place and even though I will keep in touch with colleagues, it won’t be the same 😢.5 -
I'm not very likely to have a dry month this month, if only because two of my friends are champing at the bit to have a belated joint birthday celebration in a restaurant soon (socially distanced obviously), and I'm definitely up for that if it happens. It seriously feels like ages since I've been to anything like that, almost as though it's been years rather than months ... Anyway, that's definitely in the pipeline, something to look forward to.

Hi Maman, I set my target for the year aiming to be AF 50% of the time and thought 18 AFDs a month would allow me some spare days for holidays. I do try and stay AF Mon - Thurs but I think I spend too much time having a debate with myself about whether I should or should not have a drink that night. I'm not very good at planning ahead so when I know there is something on midweek I end up trying to recover that day at the end of the month. I think some people on the thread seemed to have got past the need for internal debate and not think about it. Hope that's clearer.Family here today so we will be having wine with dinner but then AF tomorrow until Friday.4
