Morning!Managed to stay on the wagon last night. Two in a row! Just ventured out to the local Sainsbury's plenty of fresh food around. Me and DH drove to eldest DS's house last night with emergency supplies (including 9 loo rolls and hand sanitiser!), we left the box on the step, eldest DS took box in and then we had a chat from about 4 meters apart in the steet. It was actually really nice! The roads in west London are dead so the journey was super quick!ShaggyXxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.6

Arkers said:A lady I know who is receiving treatment for stage 3 brain cancer at Charing Cross has been told by her Oncologist that it is unlikely she will be able to receive any more chemo due to the Covid-19 outbreak.Oh my! That's terrible! I have a friend whose husband is terminally ill with cancer - which is bad enough in normal times - she's 58 and he's 65. I have another friend who was diagnosed with BC in January, had a breast remove and is now having chemo or radiation (can't remember which tbh), she's 47. My Aunty aged 80 is terminally with a brain tumor, is in care and can't have any visitors (including her kids and grandkids) in the final weeks/months of her life. And, the lady next door is pregnant!

Thanks for the numbers Shaggy. Due to my dismal performance I had better be target free in April. Am lucky that I am not personally affected by anyone really ill with cancer or other illnesses. How awful for the people and families concerned. I have just signed up for the NHS volunteer scheme. One of our businesses has now stopped for the time being. Not good but fingers crossed. This frees up some time for me to help others. The sun is shining here thank goodness, have a good day everyoneTotal weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.6

Thanks for your post arkers.
I'm not going to labour the point because, as you say, the potential upsides and downsides of the lockdown are immense. It's just that (as I read in a quote from someone at King's College today) that 'while science can guide, it cannot lead'. That's a political decision. Meanwhile, I am complying to the letter with the sanctions imposed and will continue to do so.
I'm going to be AF today. We've plenty of tea.
13/10 AFDs please Shaggy
