Definitely with you on the fish & chips Maman - we always use Bennett’s on the Quay over the lift-up bridge :p

Last time we went was our wedding anniversary back in August. DH told people he'd taken me out for dinner and a show. Punch and Judy and then fish and chips exactly where you said!:D

Just one visitor left, going home later today and then peace will reign. :D I know what you mean about entertaining arsenalbarnie. I just feel obliged to sit with people when DH and I are used to being together but not in the same room. :)

I'm hoping to pack DD off with some of the food but most of what's left is either healthy or DH will eat it. I think you're very brave going to fat club. I'll be avoiding that for a few weeks. :o

I like Weymouth sukey. We can get a direct train there from the bottom of the road and it's a lovely place to spend the day. Usually a visit is accompanied by fish and chips though so probably best not to go at the moment.;)

I wont be AF over the weekend but haven't decided yet when 'normal' will be resumed. :)

So glad I got weighed I lost 1.5lbs!
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

That's amazing, positively unheard of at Christmas. Well done!:T
  • Hello all . Drank Christmas Day but only one glass at dinner , then had to drive , but I did drink in the evening!
On Boxing Day I only drank half a bottle of low alcohol wine , not very nice tasting , hence the half bottle!
Today wasn’t going to drink but ended up going out and did drink , but stuck to vodka , so feel fine !
Tomorrow I’m out so at the moment don’t see any more alcohol free days until jan now ,,,,,,,,
    Oh dear !

Morning all, 21/21 for me today please :) Last three days of the decade today! If I cast my mind back to 2010, I was in a much worse place then than I am today - I was drinking too much and I was in debt and had just broken up with a partner who made me unhappy, which was at least part of the reason for the drinking and the debt. So today I'm no longer in debt and I have got the booze under control and am happily single - have always enjoyed my own company and wish I'd realised sooner I was better off on my own. I have MSE to thank for a good deal of this. I'm grateful :) Thanks to everyone on this thread too, you have made all the difference xxx :)

PS It was so helpful to post what I was drinking on my non-AFDs I'm thinking I'll keep it up, if it's not boring people? I'm sure I will be more likely to keep the amount down if I spell out what I decide to drink.

Not boring at all. I think keeping track of what we're drinking or not drinking is very useful.:)

Thanks maman :) Congratulations to you too :) Think we've all done pretty well with our targets this month, given that it's December!

Congratulations cathybird - both on reaching target & sorting your life out :T:T:T

Undecided about drinking today - will see how I feel this evening.

Weymouth was abandoned yesterday in the end as it started to rain :( so will try again for Monday as the forecast is looking good :)
