Happy Christmas everyone.:xmassmile0

Hi all. Sunday was af so up to 7. Yesterday was my birthday so did have a few. OH back as fil has been admitted. They are keeping him in now.. fingers crossed he can shake off the infection. A hospital with norovirus is not the best place to be. He’s a tough b*gger but his lungs have had it.
Hope you all enjoy tomorrow and not to excess! I shall have a few but not too many as under the weather with the lurg and we have a toddler tomorrow. I don’t like them being surrounded by drink. Off out for lunch too so no massive dinner to cook. My gang are under strict instructions to go steady tonight as we have lunch at one. Am driving I volunteered.
So Merry Christmas everyone :xmastree:Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0 -
hi all well so far I've had one teaspoon of marsala this morning (just wanted to check the bottle was drinkable and not hideously sweet, honest
), then nothing till 3.30pm, when I had a cocktail, which was quite strong but rather nice, and watched the sunset. I've just had three small glasses of mulled wine, which I made myself, simmered it for 40 minutes so am not sure it's particularly alcoholic? ... I feel okay, anyway.
However I was vaguely planning to do yoga and now cannot be bothered. Back later!

Update: two 150ml glasses of white wine (measured) with dinner and two tablespoons and a bit of marsala with the dessert, but again that was cooked, so not sure how boozy that was.
That's it! I think it was not too bad.

Well done Cathybird. I drank a bit more than you, a glass of cava and two medium glasses of red wine, but not too bad. I feel ok this morning and ready to start Christmas lunch prep. I will be drinking today but not to excess.
Happy Christmas everyone and best wishes for the success of your alcohol journey. X0 -
You know cathybird, that’s not a bad idea, posting up a running total on a given day to keep oneself accountable.
Had an unexpected AF day yesterday; I went for a tough workout where I pushed myself pretty hard and felt tired & dehydrated in the evening, so really I created the circumstances where I did not want a drink. Will have a couple today though.
21/23, thank you. Happy Christmas everyone0 -
Well done and Merry Christmas to everyone on here, especially Cathbird, Marahouti, Maman, Sukeyboo, MaggieM, Barny, Arsenalbarnie, Arkers,Loveasale and Season of Mist who all still posting even though it's Christmas.
And a huge Merry Christmas thankyou to Shaggy for all the monthly scores on the doors!0 -
Morning all. Aargh hardly any sleep so not sure how I’m going to get through the day. I had yesterday early evening two glasses of white wine with dinner and that was it. The gang were in early apart from one who I heard thumping up the stairs at 230am. OH was snoring all night hence my lack of sleep. I only have to get through today that’s what am telling myself. I don’t know if you can tell but this is my least favourite day of the year. Hope you all have a good one though xxTotal weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0

Season of Mist, I was going to post that very thing this morning - it really helped me yesterday posting what I was drinking - it stopped me from sliding into the "whydon'tIhaveanotherdrink ohyesthat'sagoodidea" mode. It would be harder to do when out but still probably doable. I'm going to try it tomorrow too, having two drinks at lunchtime probably with a colleague, assuming he's up to it after Christmas! I'm going to measure the mulled wine quantities today so I've got a better idea of what I was doing there too.
Yay to your tough workout! I did a workout yesterday, meant to be half cardio and half yoga, but I had mulled wine after the cardio and then thought "oh just forget it". Might do the yoga today, for my sins. I think exercise does suppress the appetite for food and drink, if only temporarily, so it helps. xx0 -
