    Morning all :)

I was much the same as you cathybird - I drank virtually a whole bottle of wine but it was spaced out slowly throughout the day - starting at lunchtime and finished at about 11pm. I did remember to include several glasses of water during the day and I think that helped.

Will probably have something to drink today but will try and limit it to a couple of glasses ;)

Have a lovely Boxing Day everyone :T

Me too. About the same amount but spaced out from midday until about 1.00 a.m. I'm a bit of a night owl and enjoyed the peace and quiet late on when everyone else had gone to bed. :)

Visitors still here today. Not sure whether they'll stay tonight but at the moment everyone is spread out doing their own thing in various rooms. :)

Will probably have a drink later but likely to be with dinner rather than starting early like yesterday. :)

Good morning everyone, happy Boxing Day. Well I too had rather a lot to drink yesterday, but I have to say I enjoyed it :o. I started at 11.00 with two glasses of Bucks Fizz then while I was cooking lunch two white wine spritzers (only 8 percent proof wine). Pre lunch I had a cocktail (one measure of gin) then one glass of red wine (we had beef) but it was a large glass and a small glass of port with the pud. I didn't have anything else to drink during the afternoon and early evening but then had a couple of glasses of wine. I felt ok this morning and was up early preparing for my next lot of visitors. These include some children so I won't drink much today. Enjoy your day everyone. X

Thank you sukeyboo, marahouti and maman - that makes me feel a lot better! :rotfl:It's really interesting to read what others drank. I did polish off my bottle of wine in only about three hours and was surprised this morning that the ABV was so high.

Today I went out at lunchtime and had two cocktails but my drinking companion drank half of my second cocktail. I'll probably have a bit of mulled wine when I get home, plus I have another half bottle left over from Christmas Eve, which I may have a little of. :o

:xmassmileI'm glad you're enjoying your Christmas Cathy .

I don't think you need worry that you're drinking more than usual at the moment. You're in control, you know what you're drinking and you're enjoying it.

The most important thing IMO is that because of your excellent record of cutting down then I'm confident that when life gets back to a normal routine you'll start back on your AF days. :)

I've opened a bottle earlier than usual. My team won and I'm celebrating. :heart2::footie:

Morning all, back in the saddle for me today so 20/21 :)

Last night I had most of a bottle of wine left in the fridge from Christmas Eve - I had drunk 2 x 150ml glasses from it then - and I finished it off last night, so 400ml. I didn't touch the mulled wine. Not sure what to do with it now. One of the problems with wine is you never want to just chuck it out. :( I might keep it in an airtight container in the fridge till January? It will probably keep another week or so.

Thank you maman and well done on the team win :):footie::footie::footie: I did enjoy drinking a bit more than usual but you're right, it's time to get back to normal. It was good to hear that you enjoyed your Christmas too! :xmastree:It was really helpful to record what I was drinking and read what others were drinking, definitely a tip to remember for the future.

Hope everyone had a good time over the festive season :T

Ended up having half a bottle of wine yesterday so not too bad. Off out to Weymouth today to blow the cobwebs away - it poured with rain all day yesterday but it dry here at the moment :)

May have a drink this evening as the other half a bottle has my name on it :p

Am hoping to add at least one or two more AFD’s to my total before the end of December ;)
  • Hi everyone, cracked and drank yesterday. Felt awful on the night tummy problems. Think it was a bit of a panic attack. Have had hardly any sleep again. I don’t seem to be able to cope with a houseful like I used to. Even if they are my own offspring. 4 of them have now gone away for a mini break together until Monday. We are then hosting a big New Year’s Eve party(not at home), which two of them have organised, then it will be cracking on the no drinking wagon and weight loss train again. Have weigh in at tubby club later, so will see what the damage is. Nice quiet day today. OH is off to visit his father who is still in hospital. Some of my anxiety is in regards to his failing health. Reading between the lines I don’t think it is sounding good at all. Time will tell. I cracked and drank last night, but don’t intend to today, will see. I must have drank a bottle of white wine last night and have a sore tongue this morning.
Good luck today everyone. Am looking at all the fattening food that is unopened in the cupboard, thinking I might take it to the food bank. I know I won’t be able to resist it if it is opened!
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

Just one visitor left, going home later today and then peace will reign. :D I know what you mean about entertaining arsenalbarnie. I just feel obliged to sit with people when DH and I are used to being together but not in the same room. :)

I'm hoping to pack DD off with some of the food but most of what's left is either healthy or DH will eat it. I think you're very brave going to fat club. I'll be avoiding that for a few weeks. :o

I like Weymouth sukey. We can get a direct train there from the bottom of the road and it's a lovely place to spend the day. Usually a visit is accompanied by fish and chips though so probably best not to go at the moment.;)

I wont be AF over the weekend but haven't decided yet when 'normal' will be resumed. :)

Definitely with you on the fish & chips Maman - we always use Bennett’s on the Quay over the lift-up bridge :p
