Well done Cathybird on achieving your target for December.

Arkers and everyone else too - let's hope 2020 will be a healthy and happy year for us all.

V pleased to have had an AFD today especially with lots of wine bottles etc with some left so 15/14 - just need one more (and I think that might be difficult) to achieve a round number but not target for the year. I need to start working out what I would wish to achieve in 2020 in lots of areas as well as reducing drinking again. This isn't something I can get to and then assume it's a secure habit - even I have eventually realised after numerous attempts that this isn't going to be the case and vigilance is required.

    19 please Shaggy
    Arkers x
  • Well done everyone on targets ,
I do think the glass / unit tracker does work , years ago I did a little diary and all I wrote in it was my weight on a Monday , then daily the number of glasses of wine I drank or AF ,it was interesting looking back on weeks and months !

Congratulations cathybird - both on reaching target & sorting your life out :T:T:T

Undecided about drinking today - will see how I feel this evening.

Weymouth was abandoned yesterday in the end as it started to rain :( so will try again for Monday as the forecast is looking good :)

Thanks Sukeyboo and maggiem! :) and here's hoping 2020 will be a good year for everyone from me too :) (that's ginger beer in the glasses) :)

    Meanwhile it's 22/21 for me today. :)
  • Morning all. Felt horrible yesterday bad tummy all sorts of pains. I think it was saying no more rich food! So had a bland dinner, carbonara, and no white wine. I flipping cracked at 10pm and had two glasses of red. I was sulking a bit as said to OH ( who likes winter sun) about going somewhere different to the Canaries. Maybe Thailand. Oh no not with my back at the moment was the reply. I fear that will always be the response from now on. Not making a fuss about it for now though as his dad took a turn for the worse Fri night when we thought he was holding his own. No phone call in the night so see what today brings.

Can only try harder tonight on the alcohol front. Definitely no white wine though am finding it too acidic.

Cathybird I can’t see the problem posting your drinks if it helps you. I think I will too. If we are consciously counting them, it may help us to drink less.

Loveasale your old diary reminded me of Bridget Jones :rotfl:

Thanks arsenalbarnie - it was definitely a restraining factor for me that I knew I had to post it here, so think it really helps.
I hope your tummie settles down! :(TChJtyW.gif

Happy New Year to you all.

I have just caught up from October with all the trials and tribulations.

I’ve been slipping back these past few months, which shows me that I do need to be here, for accountability and motivation. One month I didn’t even get into double digits, which is a first and definitely not good.

So I need to re establish all I did before. I think it’s pointless doing Dry January as I’ll fail and then it’ll backfire.

Please can I set a target for 18 and I want to reach 20.

Making things achievable, then I will address the rest.

I believe this happened due to habit, boredom and selfishness.
Live for the moment and plan for the future

As I'm going to hit 285 AFDs for the year, think I will adjust my target to 300 AFDs for 2020.
