Honeybear, that's the first time you posted a positive about booze I can remember.

Sorry WBF but I'm a bit confused by your comment. I don't mean to be negative about booze, but the effect it had on my life was pretty bad, and the effect of being AF has been nothing but good - other than being delighted by the apparent newness of Spiral.

It's quite heartening when someone you know comments positively about drinking being under control, Pollyanna. Most people don't because they're actually quite confused by it. When someone bought a bottle of champagne recently to celebrate something he was really apologetic that I couldn't share it but it really didn't bother me at all, especially as it was over breakfast and I love coffee!

The guilt of indulging in a Sod It day is awful. I hated it.

    16/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

  • Am finally out of the blocks with 1/15 for yesterday, Friday. Tonight is looking good but will report back in the morning.

Honey Bear oh and I are BBC 4 Scandi dramas etc. We love Spiral too and I have regularly had to rewatch the episode midweek as have overindulged and then nodded off during the episode. I could probably rewatch all of them again and not have a clue what was happening.
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

Honey Bear and arsenalbarnie, another die-hard fan of "Spiral" here ... one of my absolute favourite shows. I will be glued to the TV tonight to find out what happens in the final episodes! A fan of Scandi noir also.

I've never been a regular lunchtime drinker either HB but on holiday, particularly in France, I'd steer everyone towards a wine bar whereas others were happy with a coffee. I had wine in my room or in the hotel bar in the early evening because dinner time was far too late for wine o'clock. Thankfully all that's behind me.:D

I need to lose a couple of pounds (too much eating out and a holiday to come) so it motivated me to have an AF day yesterday.

    8/10 AFDs please Shaggy
  • Had one of two planned non-AF days for this month yesterday, so I’m up to 16/28, thank you. Still only the second occasion since April where I’ve had a drink.
