Today - well, had a bit of a lie in, then rushed off to the supermarket to get some bits and pieces for dinner tonight. My friend and her family are coming over - they are getting chicken curry followed by a crumble. Yummy can't wait!! I was at their house yesterday, and they had a chicken curry for tea. I did warn them, but they said it was OK:o:o
In the meantime I'm running around trying to get the house looking respectable in all the quarters they will see. It's not so mucky right now, but I am so incredibly untidy. My friend of course is one of the tidiest people I have ever met, always has been. Even as a teenager her room was always totally immaculate. At the very least I will have to ensure that all cat hairs have been contained inside the vacuum cleaner.
It's the last day of my holiday, sniff. In fact, other than Christmas Day and weekends it's my last day off until February. Roll on February:o:o
Scuzz, well done on getting this new flat. I hope it goes through as quickly as possible. From experience it always takes FOREVER when buying a property, especially leasehold ones, for some reason they are especially time-consuming for the solicitors. Be patient! You'll get lots of bargains in January for your kitchen, curtains, and other bits and pieces. It's so exciting moving into your very first own home, best of luck to you.
Gotta go and stir the curry. Bye for now.

Hi, hurray it's Friday!!! :j :j :j
Hope everyone is well and happy.
I haven't posted since the weekend as I've been quite busy. I did quite a bit of xmas shopping on Monday and Tuesday and I've been in work since Wednesday. Work is manic at the moment as we have quite a large group of lively children including two boys who are on the autistic spectrum.
I am now the owner of two enormous marrows as my friend's DH keeps dropping them off for me! I do have a few suggestions and recipes to try so I'll let you know what I do with them...just need to pluck up thr courage to slice into one of them!
Tonight is a lazy tea of Tesco pizzas and oven chips and them we'll all settle down to watch the TV. The rest of the weekend will include orchestra, visiting MIL, church and going to my brother's for a meal.
Have a good evening!0 -
Afternoon all,
I think I am destined to not have a good nights sleep ever again.I was up most of last night with stomach pain (I think it was hunger, though I had a bit of a poorly tummy earlier).
Have been jobhunting today - got an interview tomorrow and got to hand in my details at an agency on Monday. It is all good because now I feel that bit more motivated.
Tea tonight will be something like cheese on toast. I might have pea and prawn risotto to use up the cream cheese.
Scuzz - Well done on the flat! Post pics soon.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
blairweech, there must be something going around, we have all had sore tummies up here, just that nothing else no high temperature or sickness etc0

Evening all
T F I Friday, fingers crossed for Scuzz.
I've started taking my phone of the hook when I start cooking the evening meal now, that way the lodger can't sit screeching down the phone while we are eating.
It's my daughters wedding tomorrow, so I'm hoping it stays dry even though it will be cold. The Ex has been given a good talking to by his new wife, & she has promised to keep him in check, hubby & I will leave after the wedding & aren't going to stay for the reception. As once the Ex stars drinking there will be no stopping him.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Hugs Hester
