  • Morning all! :)

N9eav - hope your kiddies are better soon!

Stefejb - still in my jammies too! Am alternating coming on here with cleaning so when the house is all sparkling i can have a bath and get dressed - may take a while tho lol as you lot distract me :naughty:

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today

Its freezing here too - i love winter! :D DD is at school, Dp still at his conference in Cheshire, hes back tonight. Grrr means i have to share the bed again lol.

I'm just pottering around today, doing some general cleaning and am going to try baking banana bread for the first time to use up some over ripe bananas. D&DD's 'shop from home' thread inspired me to bake. I wanna be all homely lol!

B - cereal and juice for DD, sausage butty for me ( my mammy passed it over the wall to me - i don't want to move house lol!)
D - DD at school, soup for me
T - Fish fingers, mash and broccoli for DD, Chicken fajhita stew for me and DP when he gets home

We're starting doing up our new house in Feb (plus baby on the way) and we are behind on our savings due to not having tenants in the flat DP owns for 2 months. So i'm starting selling on ebay, i have done it in the past with some of DD's baby stuff but i suppose i got lazy and just took things to the charity shop but now we've had a clearout and have got books, dvds, cd's and toys to put on there :) Hopefully will make a bit of cash

Long post this morning eh?! i do know how to rabbit on - sorry! Hope everyone has a good day :)

Edited to say yeh! for Scuzz!!!!!!

Morning all... :ohanging head in shame at lack of posting on here

Thankyou for the mentions folks...i was missed :D ...as Taplady said.. im on the weightloss sight rather a lot :D ...its really helpfull and quite fun..to say its about losing weight

Hope all is well... have been popping back n forth - trying to keep up with what is happening with everyone..just haven't posted..bad me :o

Will make sure i visit every day....promise..:D

just got back from my walk..so thats another 50mins exercise crossed off for this week :j ..lost 3lbs this week -so thats 2st 12lbs ...have 4 weeks to shift the 9lbs to hit my xmas target of 3.5st ..and then need to set my next on for valentines day

Got some lovely hmm sensible boots for walking in since we keep getting snow, sleet, hail and allsorts... 10euros for suede boots :j .. although they have rubbed today..still -if i will be a numpty and refuse to wear socks i guess its my own fault :rotfl:

Only have about 4 weeks now before we head back to the UK... the 17dec until the 2nd jan...so will be having my birthday there too... mind i will be using the PC's of those im visiting..well i can't miss that long on here can i ;)

Sis started her chemo yesterday, so just waiting to find out how she got on..fingers crossed..cant wait to get back home and see how she is diddling..and the rest of the clan of course.... just got some lovely smelly oils for her to burn...... not bad at all... 5 bottles for 2.50euros..they had 2 different sorts so i got them both.. at this rate the car is going to look like a dragster on the way home..the hampers are getting a bit big :D ....
also got the cutest thing.. its a lovely red fabric bag that you put a bottle in but it is an angle/fairy that wraps its arms around the bottle.. cute..and at 2.99euro i thought id get a couple for 2 of the hampers...

Got another bargain for mum yesterday... she was threatening to buy a "hostess trolley" for xmas dinner... £220  ... it would be just as cheap to eat out :rotfl: .... she has wanted one for years... but now she would get very little use out of it.. she was worried about dinner not being hot enough... i don't care as i always eat my meals luke warm :p ..... well i managed to get her a big chafin dish with 2 compartments for 30euros and then 2 of the glass serving dishes with 2 dishes and the metal lids and candles that go under... they are sooo nice and they were only 15euros a set... so for 60euros -about £45 it has saved her about £175 :T and they are more versatile too... as the chafin dish has metal dishes she can use for other things;) Emailed photos to brother and she loves them :T

    back to OS :D

made hubby some cream of mushroom soup yesterday - enough for 4 flasks and its a hit..not bad to say i made it up as i went along :p mind at least this time i noted in my head what i had used ..so i can do it again :T .. so he has taken a flask of that and some crusty hm bread... today i got some more dried mushrooms... 3 different kinds at 99c a bag, which i think is so cheap :j ...
Dinner tonight is belly pork (although its very lean  ) hm stuffing, potatoes (for hubby) -lots of veggies and gravy (for hubby).

well now i have rattled like a lune :p ...

hugs to all needing one... hope everyone has a lovely day.. we keep getting snow ...just wish it would stay :p ..better get off nad give mum a ring and see whats happening

    bye for now :D

  • Good morning. What a beautiful day. Bright and sunny, but very *crisp*:D

Hope you enjoy your walk PenPen. Know you'll enjoy your tea:D Lumberjack or roadsweeper? Mmmmmm difficult choice:rotfl: :rotfl:

mrs mix, hope you get some relief from your joints. This cold weather won't help you any. ((((hugs)))))) I think you do brilliantly:D

shez, you obviously didn't read the end of yesterday's thread. Suppose it's hard when you're snoring your head off:rotfl: Anyway when did you take the picture? I know that area well, though I rarely go there these days.

Am I the only one who can't bear *reality* shows:o I couldn't bear to watch *get me out of here* The trailers are bad enough, turn my stomach, I'm just a huge wimp that's the trouble:o :rotfl:

Well this stew won't make itself and I need to tidy round since my SIL and nieces will be round later.

Might even hang the washing out in the hope it'll dry a bit. My house faces the wrong way though, the sun shines mostly on the front at this time of year, so if there's no wind, not a lot happens:rolleyes:

Nearly forgot, well done scuzz. Is this the original flat you were after? Only you did mention going for a different one.

Must get going, enjoy the day,

    CMxx

    Good morning everyone,

Churchmouse, glad to hear you’ve turned a corner and are feeling better.
scuzz, congratulations on getting the flat!
whatatwit, enjoy the market, I hope you manage to grab some bargains.
dlb, have fun at the race night.
Penny, enjoy the walk and tea afterwards.
catowen, glad to hear that your friend talked some sense into dd and ds.
Taplady, have a great time…it sounds as though you both deserve a break.
lilmisskitkat, good luck with your ebay sales.
Aussie, you’re still casting on! It would be quicker if you just posted the wool and needles to one of us and we could do it for you. :p Sorry sorry sorry...I should be more encouraging. :o Oh flip, I can't! Every time I think of you poised with your needles and your dishcloth yarn squinting at the pc screen I just dissolve into giggles.

It’s a cold one here but there’s no frost. I think I’ll have to go out and pick the rest of the tomatoes…Hasn’t the weather been strange this year! I can’t believe I’m still picking tomatoes in the middle of November.

Yesterday I did lots of baking…blackberry muffins, banana bread, twinks hobnobs, and an apple tart. The problem with me and baking is that I’m a messy baker and afterwards the kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it. It’s the clearing up that I can’t stand.

I don’t really have any plans for today. I’ve done a quick tidy this morning and I may take Adam out for lunch later as we are both going a little stir crazy being stuck in the house. That’s if he ever wakens up! He looks and feels fine apart from feeling a bit weak…but he’s sleeping for over 14 hours every night! I believe that sleep is a great healer, so I’m just leaving him be.

Tea tonight...I haven’t decided yet, but there will be ratatouille in there somewhere as I have peppers, tomatoes and courgettes that need to be used.

Right, I’d better get on with it...I hope you’re all having a good day.

    Pink
  • Pink, so glad Adam's feeling better:D Sleep is a great healer and he obviously needs it at the moment, so I'd do the same, leave him till he wakens naturally. Enjoy your lunch, it'll do you both good to have a change of scenery.

  • Morning everyone :hello:

I'm back at the office again.
Spent last night potato printing spots onto pillowcases for Dtwins for their "spotty day" at school. Thanks soooooooooooo much to Pink for the idea. You are sooooooooooooo clever when it comes to thinking these things up. :A I don't know where you get your ideas from.
Then I had the house to myself cos OH was out. ;)
The girls are off to stay with their grandparents tonight so I need to organise them when I get home at 2ish. Haven't a clue what's for tea but it will be something spicy that we can't normally eat when the girls are home.

I made really good headway yesterday with my Christmas shopping. All stuff for the kids but I am really pleased.

Did anyone else see Jane Tomlinson's son on the news last night receiving her CBE? It was incredibly moving.

Not alot else happening so I'd better go and do some work. ;)

Enjoy your day out Amie and your night out dlb
    Crazychik...I hope you're still feeling positive. x
Catowen....I'm glad the kids have come round.
    (((Hugs))) to Mrs Mix

Pen Pen.....Just out of interest, when your OH takes you out for a walk does he make you stay on your lead and do you have to be muzzled?:p;):D :rotfl:

    See you all later

scuzz---ohhh, I bet your are dead excited? :T

    amie--enjoy your lunch

    penpen----its a lovely day for a walk

pink- whilst he is sleeping, his body is repairing itself :D

ds2 got the lurgy now, he was sent home from school yesterday with diarohea and tummy cramps, he said he felt ok last night, but now feels really sick:eek: I just hope I don't get it. I have phoned work and told them I won't be in. I have managed to do all the housework, I would normally do tommorow,so really pleased, even though I am going a little stir crazy like pink.

My exhaust on my car has been really rattling, so gonna have to take it to kwik fit tommorow, see if they can fix it?? Hopefully won't cost much, but you never know.

    lunch---mushroom soup
    tea, scampi, chips and beans

Tonight, I plan to watch children in need and not move off sofa. Mr. T delivered food at tea time, so will make some snacky things to scoff for later:rotfl:

    bye for now xxx

    Morning all,

Its cold here but not frosty, going to try some clothes on the line as they are not urgent and are always better for the fresh air. Lots more washing to do so line will be full.

Sorry to hear that so many people are suffering from various bugs. OH has a head cold, which is of course likely to be fatal, but apart from that we are well.

Still trying to do a declutter...refusing to shop for clothes as I seem to have so many. Need to lay all Christmas presents I have bought and see who gets what, don't think that there is much more to get, birthday presents for DDs 1&2 who have birthdays on 23rd and 22nd Dec respectively and one for DS1 who lives in Holland and never gets his present until they come at Christmas. Knitting is going on but not as fast as I would like...seem to have lots of that eyelash wool stuff so think that there may be a few pairs of socks with non-slip thingies on soles to throw into stockings for kids, still have to buy their chocolate oranges as I didn't bother one year and there was murder....bear in mind that these 'kids' are 26 to 37!

Going to make some mint jelly with my crab apple juice as I have found some small jars which will be suitable, need to get some containers for pots in which I have put fuchsias and herbs for people...did intend making them from papier mache but not sure that there it time now.

    Have a good day everyone

    Marie
