Have just listed my first 6 books on Amazon and 1 DVD. I did read the beginning of this thread, then lost it, but hoping I've done it right and I think I should get some profit from the books and quite a good one from the DVD - that is, if they sell. Quite excited though as just gotten into selling stuff on ebay as well.
Good luck for everyone selling!

I've been selling my unwanted Region 1 dvd's on amazon for a couple of years and over that time I've manged to sell several.
I looked at my live lists today and I've got four region 1 dvd's showing as live and at the lowest price
BUT, when I look at each of the items on amazon my ones aren't listed.
If I look at my live items list I can click on 'edit' and go to the item and change it, but still nothing appears on amazon itself.
I can only think it's some sort of restriction on selling Region 1 dvd's, but then why are the items showing as live and at the lowest price.
Anyone any ideas?Waddle you do eh?0 -
Hello Dave,
are you still having this problem with your DVDs? Sorry I don't know the answer to your question - I sell books. If it is still a problem perhaps you could ask over on the Amazon seller connection board. just say you are a newbie and be as clear as you can about what you are asking. They are generally helpful over there but its an unmoderated board and sparks do fly [as they are at the mo] but don't be put off0 -
Oh bother, I have mislaid a book..arghhh
My new system designed to mean I can't lose books, even tells me which batch the book was in and the date it went to storage..and I am missing a whole batch. Somewhere in the house there is a obviously a stack of books that I have put down en route to packing and storing them. The problem is how to tell which pile it is from the thousands of books littering the house already.

I've sold my first book on amazon! Only listed them 6 days ago, so did really not expect anything to go this soon.
It's posted as well so know exactly how much profit I've made.

Hi, I am new to amazon and this forum. I have recently sold some textbooks and have made a loss due to not working out the postage. How is it possible to sell heavy textbooks from uni without making too much of a loss (considering that most of the textbooks were new when first purchased and therefore paid full price for them?0

Thank you I did. I stopped panicking and used my system to work out what other books were in the same batch. Once I knew how big the batch was I could locate all the books..they were of course in plain sight in a tower against the wall in the laundry room..So, laundry room for books...logical isn't it (not!)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
