I'm quite excited as for the first time ever I went to check something to see if it was worth listing and there is a 'buyer waiting' note :j

It said that the average price that buyers had indicated for items in the condition I was listing was £7..and the next cheapest one was actually £17. I haven't had a sale for days and am so desperate to just sell something, anything! that I've listed it at £7 to see if I can't get a sale just to get my confodence back that Amazon is actually working.

Oh, and it is a VHS tape that has been released on DVD, so it doesn't make any sense at all

How is every one else doing on Amazon. My sales have picked up in the last week, I'm on 7 sales in the last 7 days. So well chuffed.

It has been very slow in the last couple of months though, and I've now got over 600 books listed, and nowhere else to hide them...

My buyer waiting item has gone to pending..grrr, I can't remember how to unearth the email address of the potential buyer anymore either.

Hi Soolin, its not so easy now that Amazon have changed the SDNs - why do they keep fiddling? To get the email address without going via Amazon you need to:

Go to your payment account and sign in. On the account summary page, click on the cash total which is shown in blue and your recent transactions for the current 2 weeks will show up including the email addy. HOWEVER thinking about it, I don't think this will show pendings and I'm not sure if you can get to pending email addresses without going through Amazon? To get to the buyer details you again go to your payment account and click on 'search transactions' which will be in blue towards the middle of the screen. Toggle on the radio button to search by pending and you'll see a contact buyer option.

Hope it works out - I've only had 2 buyer waiting but its a good feeling if they are realistic. Hope the sale goes through.

Also hope this email makes sense!!!

Hi Helsbells and HaloJones, hope the sales continue.... I had a lttle flurry of 4 sales in 24 hours after 10 days of nothing. Then it went quiet again until today when I've sold one for almost £15 after fees which I'm well pleased about.
Fingers crossed for sales all round - maybe the selling fairy hibernates  its time she woke up now though :D

I've found the contact buyer button thank you teapot, I'm going to risk a small email via the Amazon system asking the buyer to contact Amazon if they have a problem getting payment to go through. I thought something bland that can't be misinterpreted.

    Thank you

I have only been on amazon for the past three weeks and have now had a total of 8 orders. not bad i reckon. yesterday morning i was going to list my gameboy on ebay along with all the games i had but i thought i would check it out on amazon. i saw that one of my games was listed for almost the same amount as it costs new, but there were 2 others with same price, i listed mine and got it sold within a couple of hours.

now i just gotta wait for next order.
