Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get my holiday settings undone? It was reset on Friday and I am itching to list all the books I aquired on holiday. I don't remember it taking 4 days to activate them in the past.

I think it can really vary. last year when there was a known problem it took me 8 days to get my listings back after I reactived them after a holiday. However last week I had them on holiday for a few days and when I reactived them they were back in about 5 hours.

If I were you I would give CS a ring and ask if there are any problems (although of course they always claim there are no problems regardless!)

I agree with Mishka. I either get a flury of sales or absolutley nothing at all. Going to list a few this afternoon and see if that makes any difference.Fingers crossed.

Just had a nice sale, found a biology book during my decluttering this weekend, looked on Amazon and the cheapest was £22 so put mine on for £20 and it's just sold... will need to look into postage now as it's quite a large book! :)

Do you ever get a feeling about a buyer? On Sunday I had a sale of a big fairly expensive book. That evening I got a flurry of emails from the buyer asking various questions about the book despite her already buying it and if I could get it to her by a certain date. I said I couldn't guarentee delivery by the date she needed but I quoted the Amazon 1 -2 days guidline and promised to post it first class Monday which I did. Buyer seemed really please but I had an uneasy feeling that this book would never arrive!!

Sure enough this Sunday I recieved a very aggressive email asking.. where is the book.. you said you would posted it monday.. so where is it?? Let me know asap. So I sent a polite email back.. saying yes I posted it and have a cert of postage and did she check for a royal mail card. I had a reply today saying... 'what do you think the first thing I did was and guess what no card! I want to see your cert of postage!'

Not sure how to play this one!! Any ideas??

BTW.. shes emailing my personal email.. .not going through amazon. should I block her?

eeek I hate people like this, you could almost guarantee it would be her book that went missing !

Firstly always reply via amazon, that way they have a record of what is said by you, this may help later. Just stick to facts, you posted it on blah date, using ** method and suggest she contacts her local post office as they dont always leave a card.

At the moment you have done your part, and whilst that doesnt help her any, its really too early to be talking refunds. what method did you use BTW as 2nd class is up to 15 days and even 1st class takes a week sometimes !

I think she is being a little jumpy here and i personally would tell her to chill a little !

My sales on Amazon are practically non-existent, but Green Met has been doing really well recently.

Strangely enough Greenmet is doing well for me as well. I only have 10% of the amount of books listed there as I do on Amazon but last month I sold more on Greenmet than Amazon for almost 3 weeks running.

The odd thing about Greenmet is I am not selling the books that people suggest sell well. None of the chick lits or chart paperbacks go at all, instead I am selling weird and wonderful books about history, or politics, the stuff I would normally expect to sell on Amazon.
