Ive cooked a roast chicken tonight which I shall serve with roasted veg and potatoes. I won't bother pointing it as all Ive had today is two toast and marmite at 1pm so Ive plenty of points left

Im also making a Dhal for lunches. I used a Jamie Oliver recipe - sort of. I skipped the oil. Lentils are zero points, same as the aubergines, onions, garlic, ginger, chilli. The curry paste is 8 points but I have at least 6 lunch size portions from it so a very low point lunch even if I add a portion of rice or a chapatti its still good

Its nearly cooked through and tastes lovely. Shame I cooked a chicken really ::rotfl:

Sounds yummy, Suki. I had lentils yesterday too. As you know I can't eat starchy carbs and grains too often so I find lentils are a good substitute for potatoes or pasta. Although I have bought some lentil based pasta, not tried it yet.

Lost that extra lb that I had regained, so now back to 11 stones.:j. That was the easy bit. I'm off out today so doubt that I can stick to my points but I'm not going to worry. I'll get that last half stone off eventually.

Keep going, we will get there.
  • I have plateaued this week. But not gained so taking a win! I want to drop at least another lb this week and try and keep it going.

I never weigh myself daily, or if I do I don't really take much notice of it. Ive been up and down either side of this 4lb I want shot of this week. Yesterday showed I needed just 1lb gone, today its saying 2lb, yet I ate sod all worth talking about yesterday ( a filled roll with chicken and bacon, two cocktail sausage rolls, a tiny pastry the rice of a macaroon and a packet of ringos) so Ill weigh Wednesday morning and use that reading as I started on a Wednesday :)

Went walking today, only 3 miles but its the first walk in two weeks, work hours are increasing now coming into the Christmas period, the weather is wet, wet, and wetter still and my walking partner has had too much on her plate to go. So we have decided we will commit to just two walks a week now during the winter, Sundays and Wednesdays ( both have those days off) This will keep us motivated through the long dark winters we have up here

Last year I bought a dress to go to a wedding. Ive posted about this frock before, how it was too small ( charity shop bargain ) and how I just about got into it with the aid of a body suit. Well I tried it on yesterday and it fits beautifully :)

So I pulled out the frock I bought for the year before wedding, and thats too big, thats going to the charity shop :)

Then I couldn't resist, out come the wedding dress - and I got it on :T

Ok so it don't look good, I still need to get to my goal but I was just over the moon that I got it on and I wasn't strangled in it:rotfl:

Well done Suki! That's really positive.

Thanks to everyone for the tips this week, I weighed myself this morning ( so it's been 6 days but the ww page says it's weigh in day!) and I've actually lost 5lb! :j

I've been really trying hard with what I've been eating and trying to increase my exercise, so I'm pleased it's worked.

My exercise didn't quite go to plan on Fri as I went for a swim but had to get out after less than half an hour as a school were using the pool - I'd misread the timetable and not realised. I did get 24 lengths in though.

Also Sat was a bit of a blip - I decided to make some snack bars using a packet of muesli that had been sat in the cupboard for ages and no one seemed to like. I have to admit there was some spoon licking and bowl licking and product testing going on!:rotfl:

Also as it was just me and teenage son at home for dinner and he wanted burgers, there were 4 in the pack, so I cooked 2 each, but I took the advice of having mine with a thin instead of a burger roll. I have to admit I couldn't resist having mine with fried onions - I would have had salad but it had gone yukky in the fridge and as I was expecting a shopping delivery on Sun and it was throwing it down I didn't want to pop to the shop to get some.

So even with that I still lost weight and so I'm really pleased and motivated for this week!

    Have a good week everyone!

Well done 13 :j An excellent start

Fried onions, what I do it to use a small saucepan and a squirt of 1cal oil so they don't stick, then use water too keep them simmering till soft. All the pleasure of fried onions without the guilt :) Just a tablespoon of water at a time, gently simmer till water evaporates and keep repeating till the onions are to your liking
