Happy birthday dandy-candy. Treats are allowed on birthdays :)

I worked yesterday and today and I'm working tomorrow and Saturday too. I'll be shattered by Sunday but I'm enjoying it. My arm is still causing problems but not at work so that's ok.

I had contact with one of my late DH's family last night for the first time in 10 years. I'm not completely sure how I feel about that....and it's left me a bit stressed. There's always something isn't there?

Take care all of you :)

    Evening All

Hope you've had a good birthday Dandy.

It's been a terrible day weather wise here today - not stopped raining all day. My tennis was obviously cancelled and I couldn't face a swim so DH and I nipped into our nearest city and did a bit of shopping.

I bought some tennis shorts and a new swimsuit and also a big bowl of flowers for the kitchen. We then did the supermarket shopping and came home for a bowl of homemade soup.

I had to collect DGD from school this evening, feed her and keep her till Brownies so was kept busy. At least it got my step count up to achieve my target.

    Lunch: Scrambled Eggs, Homemade soup.
Dinner: Smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, lettuce, cucumber and tomato
    Treats: Piece of Brie

Happy birthday Dandy :) all the best people have May birthdays :rotfl: which is why I'm reporting a STS please Cranky. I definitely used it as an excuse to eat carp all weekend

Cranky I hope the contact was made with good intentions especially as it caused you stress, ten years is a long time to suddenly get back in touch

I went to see the Tolkien film tonight and enjoyed it even if there were a couple of moments when a hanky was required :o. I avoided taken anything other than a bottle of tap water in with me so no naughty snacks which is good for both the diet and :money:

B - I took the wrong container from the fridge in for breakfast today so breakfast was stewed apple with sultanas. I found it not very filling and sat in my meeting hungry by 11.30am. I missed my overnight oats
L - small quiche and salad
D - HM pizza using naan bread as the base with pesto instead of tomato sauce and loads of veg with a small grating of cheese
    S - banana and grapes

Cranky, getting in touch again after 10 years does seem a bit odd. As Brambling said, hopefully it was with good intentions and I hope that you un-stress from it soon.

    Today will be

B pancakes made with oats and fruit
L bbq chicken and pasta, salad, fruit
D sloppy joe pasta ( new recipe from old sw mag) with roasted butternut squash and salad, will do some part baked bread for rest of family.

Probably cereal bar in the evening.

    Evening Everyone

It seems quiet on here these days. Hope it means everyone if far too busy enjoying themselves.

I got up early this morning and had a three mile walk delivering all the weekly publicity materials for work - all before nine am. I then went off to my tennis class. Fortunately, the rain kept off and we had a great hour and a half, followed by coffee and chat. I had lunch on my own today - DH was out and DS had to work as one of his managers is on holiday.

This afternoon I had a trip to the hairdressers and the rest of the afternoon seems to have just been frittered away, although I did make 2 fruit cakes. One is for my SiL-to-be as I'm going down to London tomorrow afternoon ready for a conference on Saturday. I'm meeting my daughter and staying with her overnight and the cake is a 'Sorry I missed your birthday' present for her fiance.

No baby sitting tonight as DiL isn't working so will probably curl up with one of my library books.

Lunch: Homemade mushroom soup. Piece of Brie and a handful of cashew nuts.
Dinner: Salmon with green beans and broccoli in a low carb cheese sauce
    Treats: None!!

Cranky 10 years is a long time, i have been known to call up people I've lost touch with for a year or two but not 10!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes :) I did indulge a little ;)

DS1 bought me a fitbit which im really pleased with. Today was a busy for me day DH took me to a craft show and we walked a fair bit, but even so i have only done 5k steps today instead of the recommended 10k. Tomorrow i will work on doing better!

    Morning Everyone

Just a quick post as I'm off to a conference in London on Saturday, travelling down this afternoon and staying with my daughter.

Its a nutrition/low carb conference so the food should be healthy and fit in with my eating which is great.

I'm afraid despite the scales dipping midweek they are back to last weeks figure today so its a STS again.

Yoga this morning, preceded by a walk and followed by coffee and chat.

Not sure on meals yet. Probably a salad for lunch and a meal out tonight with DD. We usually choose somewhere that can do low carb meals for me. Last time we went to Nandos.

Im due back late Saturday so may be able to post then, if not it will be Sunday.

    Hi all,
Reporting a 1lb loss this week. I was hoping for more because I've spent 4 days digging, been for a run and the gym a couple of times and still been good with food. Ah, well, I expect I've built muscle! :D
