Evening All,
Happy Birthday Dumpling. Glad you've had a nice day.
I enjoyed the film yesterday. It is based on a true story and was funny, sad, tragic and thoroughly enjoyable.
I had a busy start to the day and had done 11,000 steps before 9am! I fed DS's cats and then delivered all the week's publicity materials for work which is a 3 mile walk. I then went to tennis. There were only 4 of us this week (we have up to 12 turning up to the coaching session) and it went really well.
DH and I then went to the city to collect my new prescription sunglasses and treated ourselves to fish and chips. Actually, he had fish, chips and peas and I had a fish and about half a dozen of his chips. We took the sports car and had the top down as the sun was shining. We then stocked up at the supermarket and came home. We stopped to feed the cats on the way back as I was beginning to feel tired.
Since then I've not done much apart from a quick walk to the library (all of 5 mins away!) and read and had a bath. I think I might have an early night as I am still feeling rather tired.
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (I decided I needed to eat something before tennis after the walk)
Lunch: Fish and chips. Tangerine
Dinner: Home made low carb kedgeree - (smoked haddock, smoked mackerel, riced cauliflower, mushrooms and hard boiled egg) Greek yoghurt with blueberries

Hope the lasting effects from the migraines have gone Cranky I know they can take a couple of days to fully shake off. Enjoy your weekend away
Glad you had a good day Dumpling
Usual work day although as the only one in from my team it was a little manic but I ensured I got a walk in lunchtime.
B - FF Greek yogurt with banana and mixed berries
L - the last of my HM chicken noodle soup, it was a large portion as I wanted to finish it and didn't want to leave a quarter portion
D - tofu and vegetable stir fry with garlic, ginger, chilli and soy
S - grapesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good evening all,
I hope you've had a great day dumpling.
I've had a good day making cakes with the HT for our trip away. He made the chocolate cakes for me and I let him do some of the buttercream piping. He did very well for a beginner. We leave early tomorrow morning and we'll be back Sunday evening. If I'm home in time Sunday I'll update the list but otherwise it'll be Monday morning sorry.
Take care all of you0 -
Have a great weekend Cranky0

Cranky, have a fabulous weekend away.
I've been out for dinner for a friend's birthday tonight and am quite proud of myself for making good choices that meant it wasn't much higher in calories than a normal dinner. Best I gloss over the fact that I drank the best part of a day's calories...
Oh well, it was a lovely night out and as long as I don't treat it as an excuse to give up then it's no real damage done.0 -
Have a great weekend away Cranky.
I have an exercise class today so hope the extra activity keeps my weight loss going. I did almost 15000 steps yesterday and signed up for a U3a walking group who do weekly walks varying from 2 or 3 miles to 10 miles or more.
My daily weigh in showed another loss but will wait until Sunday to report it. I am now 12 stone 6lb so within 2 stone of my target weight. My calorie counter app set my target at 10 stone 12lb for my age and height but I would like to get to 10 stone 6lb initially.
One binge on Wednesday due to not spreading my calories out over the day so I was starving after book club and ate way too much over the evening especially as DH was out too. So much harder to binge if I am not alone. I am doing the weekly shop today and told DH I won't buy cake, biscuits, crisps and he has to get them if he wants them.

Have a great weekend Cranky.
Not a bad day for me yesterday. No exercise as I was working from home and had tradesmen in and out most of the day. Grazed most of the day but didn't overeat and had a lovely jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw for dinner.
Hoping to get out for a nice walk at lunchtime today and enjoy the sunshine.
Lots of jobs in and around the house to be done over the weekend. We'll be starting off Saturday with Parkrun too.
Hoping to keep things on track over the weekend and report a loss next Tuesday.0 -
Good morning all :hello:
Just popping on to record my menu for today as I am back on it after a lovely few days off for my birthday. I still have boxes of chocolates but I am not going to open them unless there is a load of people around to help eat them as I will just scoff the lot otherwise.
b - scrambled eggs and toast
l - slim a soup, ham salad wrap
d - tiny piece of steak pie, new potatoes and mixed veg
s - pineapple
Hope you have a great weekend away Cranky xx
Good luck to all of us on here xx0 -
Have a lovely weekend Cranky
Weight loss is so slow! I aim for 1200-1300 calories each day as I can't be too active at the moment. Been doing well this week, even had a day where all I ate was a slice of toast because my new painkillers made me so sick. Not the way to diet!
Have my fingers and toes crossed that I'll see a loss this weekend.
Dumpling, boxes of chocolates are so hard to deal with, aren't they? When I've been gifted them, I don't really want to pass them on, yet I know eating them won't help me. My mother is always offering me chocolates, she's gets given a lot.And she doesn't like me saying no thanks, that starts the "go on, just one won't hurt..." conversation!
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0
