Have a lovely weekend Cranky .Dumpling glad you had a super birthday and well done for getting quickly back on track .Ellie I’ve not been too well this week like you so not been as active as usual .I too have very slow weight loss probably because I’ve been dieting a very long time .I have been a size 24 and am now a size 14 ,so years of yo yo dieting . I try to stick to 1400 calories a day and aim for 1/2lb per week then I don’t get too disappointed with myself .Weigh in for me is tomorrow so fingers crossed for my 1/2 lb loss.

Well done all the losers this week and if that isn’t you keep going and try for next week . Never give up though !

    Evening Everyone.

I hope you enjoy your weekend away Cranky.

I started my day with the inevitable feeding of my son's cats. I also delivered the last of works publicity so ended up walking 2.5 miles before Yoga. We do Power Yoga and my goodness it was hard this week - in a good way. That was followed by coffee and chat with friends.

This afternoon has been much quieter. I got the ironing done and have done another walk up to the cats. I shall probably snuggle down with a library book this evening.

Lunch: Baked aubergine topped with onion, mushroom, chillis and cheese and popped under the grill. Greek yoghurt with sweetener and lemon juice.
Dinner: Chicken leg, courgette, pepper, cabbage and half a very small jacket potato. Tangerine
    Snack: Hard boiled egg

I've managed nearly a week without chocolate now (apart from that covering my Magnum at the cinema) but would love some now. Fortunately, there is none in the house or I'm sure I would succumb.

Have a good Friday evening everyone.

    Good morning everyone :hello:
It's another beautiful sunny morning here, I've just had my first cup of tea of the day and I'm feeling very positive.

Normally my lovely hubby cooks on the weekend but I have decided to take over the kitchen today and try some more new recipes out. I just need another fridge to put all the ingredients in :D.

We usually eat brunch on the weekend as well but I am feeling quite hungry so will have 3 meals today. So far I think we are going to have:

b - scrambled eggs and tomatoes on toast
l - broccoli and stilton soup
d - chicken and leeks in a blue cheese sauce
    s - fruit

It's a bit of a stiltony day but I have half a block to use up :).

Hope you all have a great weekend, take care xx

    Hi all,

Hope you are all having a good weekend.
I was so good yesterday, had a 17 mile bike ride with the family, only ate half my sandwich (full) and left some of the cake kindly provided by my mum. Stuck to my calorie allowance but... When everyone else had gone to bed, I decided to have 4 squares of milka. Half a big bar later I did stop but made myself feel sick. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I didn't even want it. :(

Anyway, yesterday's weigh in was -1lb so OK with that. Will do better today. Tomorrow will be a challenge as we're travelling all day.

    Good luck everyone.

Good morning everybody - lovely and sunny but cold ,still no rain so grateful for that . I’ve managed 1/2 lb loss again this week and happy with that .Out with the dogs now and then off to the last home game of rugby for this season and perhaps a little alcoholic beverage in the clubhouse .This will be just one drink though and I’ll try to keep within my calorie allowance .

Have a good weekend everyone and good luck with the weight loss for this coming week .

    Good Afternoon Everyone

Its a beautiful sunny afternoon but oh so cold. There's an icy wind that really catches you.

I had a lovely swim this morning as the sun was shining but it's a bit chilly getting out!! I've also been out for a run with my friend. She's changed our running programme as she found it a bit hard last time we went out. So we are just doing our own. So today was run 2 minutes walk 1 - repeated. I think we did it 9 times in all.

I've also been out for coffee with DH and my Mother this afternoon. I have work from six o clock and I think its a bit later finish than normal unless I can be spared later on. I hope so as I hate working much after ten.

Lunch: Chicken and avocado salad with spinach leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and a broccoli stalk and apple coleslaw I concocted.
Dinner: Egg and sweet potato chips with mushrooms before I go out. Maybe a tangerine
    Treats: None so far!

Freezing cold here over the last few days. I took my granddaughters to the park and managed around 8000 steps just running around after my 3 year old granddaughter. Otherwise little exercise over the weekend but I did loads of steps over the latter part of last week.

I would like to report a - 1lb loss for week number 2. I am down now to 12 stone 6lb so still around 2 stone to lose. It seems to be coming off very slowly but I am not going hard core on the diet and lapse every now and again. 4 squares of chocolate yesterday but accounted for it in my calorie counter app. Years ago I did the Rosemary Conley diet where you essentially cut out almost all fats but I could not sustain it.

Does anyone else find the evenings are the most difficult time to stop snacking? My daughter says it is because we have dinner at 6pm and go to bed quite late now we are retired. My DH also has to have tea and toast around 10pm and normally I resist but yesterday my tummy was grumbling so I succumbed. I am seriously thinking about moving dinner back to 7pm in the hope I don't give in to the snacking urges and going to bed at 11pm rather than midnight.
